Within the educational framework, there is the presence of the leadership that exercises the authority of the institution of Zepita during the year 2017 around the teaching performance. The central purpose of the research is to determine the level of correlation between the two variables: Leadership and teacher performance. The methodology is part of the quantitative design with a population made up of teachers appointed and hired from the institution in mention. The research technique used to collect the data corresponding to the two variables was the survey, its tool being the survey questionnaire. La investigación se refiere al liderazgo que ejerce la autoridad de la Institución Educativa Primaria N° 70279 Tasapa Patacollo Zepita, durante el año 2017 y el desempeño de los docentes, el propósito central de la investigación corresponde a determinar el nivel de correlación existente entre las dos variables. La población de estudio estuvo constituida por los docentes nombrados y contratados de la institución en mención. El ejercicio del liderazgo por el director fue investigado a través de la percepción de los docentes y el desempeño de los docentes ha sido investigado a través de la percepción del director.
