Postpartum hemorrhage is a severe obstetrical complication that produces almost one third of maternal deaths, especially in underdeveloped countries. Multiple complications can produce this type of clinical scenario. Nevertheless uterine atony, placental birth alterations, and cervical and vaginal tears are doubtlessly those of greater prevalence. Their opportune treatment and timely use of effective measures are indispensable and fundamental to avoid maternal death. To know about populations at risk and triggering factors is fundamental, because this pathology is highly preventable and we must be prepared to face this type of complications.

Objetivo: Describir las características histopatológicas de las lesiones intraductales papilares de la mama en muestras de tejido mamario recibidas en el Instituto de Patología y Biología Molecular Arias Stella, 2018. Tipo y diseño de estudio El presente trabajo es un estudio observacional, descriptivo, retrospectivo y transversal, cuya población estará conformada por todas la muestras de tejido mamario con sospecha de lesiones intraductales papilares recibidas en el Instituto de patología y Biología Molecular Arias Stella, 2018. La técnica de recolección de datos se realizara empleando la técnica documental, recurriendo así a fuentes de información secundaria como historias clínicas y base de datos histopatológicos, de las cuales obtendremos la información requerida para el estudio. Se elaborara una ficha de recolección de datos como instrumento de investigación.

Objective: To evaluate associations between anxiety and severe impairment of quality of life (QoL) in Latin American postmenopausal women. Methods: This was a secondary analysis of a multicenter cross-sectional study among postmenopausal women aged 40 to 59 from 11 Latin American countries. We evaluated anxiety (The Goldberg Depression and Anxiety Scale), and QoL (Menopause Rating Scale [MRS]), and included sociodemographic, clinical, lifestyle, and anthropometric variables in the analysis. Poisson family generalized linear models with robust standard errors were used to estimate prevalence ratios (PRs) and 95% CIs.
