Objetivo: El propósito de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre la presencia de lesiones cariosas a través del Método de ICDAS y el estado nutricional en niños pre-escolares de 2-4 años del Centro de Salud Huanca Sancos, Ayacucho 2011. Materiales y Métodos: Se ejecutó un estudio de corte transversal, con 162 niños preescolares, se seleccionaron mediante muestreo aleatorio estratificado por género, edad y estado nutricional. Considerando la información antropométrica de acuerdo a los criterios OMS el índice de masa corporal (IMC) se clasificaron en 3 grupos: 54 con bajo peso, 54 normopeso y 54 con sobre peso. Papers written in English, Portuguese and Spanish, full text available using the keywords: Low power laser, pediatric dentistry laser and photobiomodulation. A total of 65 articles were obtained which were analyzed and selected by a master expert in laser therapy, 46 articles were accepted.
