El cambio climático presenta muchas consecuencias, como la escasez hídrica por la baja disponibilidad del agua. Sin embargo, no se conoce con exactitud el efecto de la variabilidad climática en las coberturas vegetales, o en que magnitud se encuentra la asociación; por otra parte, el conocimiento del comportamiento vegetativo de un territorio permite abordar mecanismos para conservar los recursos vegetales. Por ello, se buscó conocer la relación de la precipitación climática y la cobertura vegetal, así como también realizar un análisis de comportamiento evolutivo de la cobertura vegetal en la cuenca del Rímac, para un periodo de 32 años. El diseño de la investigación fue descriptiva correlacional, donde la cobertura vegetal estuvo determinada por el índice NDVI y la variable precipitación estuvo definido por el método de Isoyetas; luego, estas variables fueron analizadas a través de la prueba correlacional de Pearson. El análisis demostró que las variables presentan una relación alta de 78.7% en todo el territorio; las zonas con mayor relación fueron las zonas 1 y 2 con 75 %; además el comportamiento evolutivo mostró con un ligero incremento de cobertura vegetal de 24 km². |

However, the exact effect of climate variability on plant cover, or the magnitude of the association, is not known. On the other hand, knowledge of the vegetative behavior of a territory allows us to address mechanisms for conserving plant resources. For this reason, it was sought to know the relationship between climatic precipitation and vegetable cover, as well as to carry out an analysis of the evolutionary behavior of vegetable cover in the Rimac River Basin, for a period of 32 years. The research design was descriptive and correlational, where the vegetable cover was determined by the NDVI index and the precipitation variable was defined by the Isoyetas method; then, these variables were analyzed through Pearson's correlational test.
