description La presente investigación tiene como objetivo elaborar el mejoramiento y diseño de la carretera tramo cruce Agua Salada-Baños Termales-Tambillo, Chancay Baños, Santa Cruz-Cajamarca 2021, donde encontramos los siguientes objetivos específicos, que consiste en poder realizar los estudios necesarios como son los de tráfico, topográficos y de mecánica de suelos, evaluar una nueva ruta o variantes de ruta que mantenga siempre la conexión entre los puntos obligados de paso, realizar el diseño geométrico, obras de arte y la capa estructural de la carretera, realizar los estudios hidrológicos y meteorológicos mediante el uso de los softwares ArcGIS, evaluar el estudio de impacto ambiental, realizar un programa de mantenimiento de la infraestructura vial, evaluar el beneficio/costo para determinar la viabilidad del proyecto. Dicha carretera se encuentra a nivel de trocha carrozable y está ubicada en el distrito de Chancay Baños, la misma no cuenta con las dimensiones mínimas requeridas para ser utilizada por el tránsito vehicular, ya que se halla en mal estado y a consecuencia de las constantes lluvias en la zona, se vuelve intransitable. Además, no posee con sistemas de drenaje y alcantarillado para la evacuación de las aguas, esto provoca deslizamientos de tierra y la formación de charcos, provocando que los vehículos que transitan a diario se queden varados. Por ende, este proyecto de tesis plantea la mejora de la carretera, el diseño de la capa estructural es de 12.1 km aproximadamente y será a nivel de pavimento flexible, también la ejecución de obras de arte y drenaje. Para logar la finalidad de este proyecto se utilizará la metodología inductivo – experimental.

Para logar la finalidad de este proyecto se utilizará la metodología inductivo – experimental.The present research aims to develop the improvement and design of the road section crossing Agua Salada-Baños Termales-Tambillo, Chancay Baños, Santa Cruz-Cajamarca 2021, where we find the following specific objectives, to carry out traffic, topographic and mechanical studies of soils, evaluate a new route or route variants that always maintain the connection between the obligatory crossing points, carry out the geometric design, works of art and the structural layer of the road, carry out hydrological and meteorological studies through the use of software ArcGIS, evaluate the environmental impact study, carry out a maintenance program for the road infrastructure, evaluate the benefit / cost to determine the feasibility of the project. This road is at the level of a carriageway and is in the district of Chancay Baños, it does not have the minimum dimensions required to be used by vehicular traffic, since it is in poor condition and because of the constant rains in the area becomes impassable. In addition, it does not have drainage and sewerage systems for the evacuation of water, this causes landslides and the formation of puddles, causing vehicles that travel daily to be stranded. Therefore, this thesis project proposes the improvement of the road, the design of the structural layer is approximately 13 km, and it will be at the level of flexible pavement, also the execution of works of art and drainage.
