description RESUMEN La psicomotricidad es uno de los aspectos más importantes en el Desarrollo de los niños, por eso es muy necesario trabajar en todos sus ámbitos. Tiene como finalidad el Desarrollo de competencias motrices, cognitivas y afectivo – sociales. A lo largo de la historia han existido autores que han investigado sobre la relevancia de la psicomotricidad respecto a otros aspectos humanos cognitivos o sociales, pasando de ser considerada como un método terapéutico a una metodología multidisciplinario. Este concepto es de gran importancia tanto en la etapa de educación infantil como en la educación primaria, gracias a esta, se beneficia el dominio, el conocimiento y empleo del cuerpo en relación al entorno y a la propia persona.
