Para llevar a cabo esta investigación, se administró el Cuestionario de Violencia Familiar (VIFA) de Altamirano y Castro (2013) y el Cuestionario de Autoestima de Rosenberg (EAR) de Rosenberg (1965), obteniendo como resultado un nivel bajo en violencia física (47%) y psicológica (39,1%); y un nivel bajo en autoestima positiva (36,2%) y negativa (39,8%); además, se determinó que existe relación (p<.05) entre la violencia familiar y la autoestima. Se concluye que existe una relación entre las dimensiones violencia física y psicológica pertenecientes a la variable de violencia familiar y las dimensiones autoestima positiva y autoestima negativa de la variable autoestima, destacando que, a mayor nivel de violencia familiar, predomina la autoestima negativa en los estudiantes. Estos hallazgos sugieren la importancia de abordar la violencia familiar en el entorno educativo, ya que puede tener un impacto negativo en la autoestima de los estudiantes. La promoción de un entorno seguro y libre de violencia puede contribuir al desarrollo de una autoestima más positiva entre los estudiantes

The sample consisted of 304 students in an I.E. This study is framed as a substantive type of research, with a quantitative approach, and a descriptive correlational design was used. To carry out this research, the Family Violence Questionnaire (VIFA) by Altamirano and Castro (2013) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Questionnaire (EAR) by Rosenberg (1965) were administered, obtaining as a result a low level in physical (47%) and psychological (39.1%) violence; and a low level in positive (36.2%) and negative (39.8%) self-esteem; in addition, it was determined that there is a relationship (p<.05) between family violence and self-esteem. It is concluded that there is a relationship between the physical and psychological violence dimensions belonging to the family violence variable and the positive self-esteem and negative self-esteem dimensions of the self-esteem variable, highlighting that the higher the level of family violence, the more negative self-esteem predominates in the students. These findings suggest the importance of addressing family violence in the educational environment, as it can have a negative impact on students' self-esteem.
