Se realizó el análisis de Hazard Ratios (HR) en STATA versión 15.0 para el análisis crudo y ajustado, considerando un nivel de confianza al 95%. Resultados: La tasa de incidencia de Eventos Cerebrovasculares fue de 107 casos por 1000 personas-mes en un tiempo de seguimiento de 31 meses. De 140 pacientes, aquellos que pertenecían a la cohorte expuesta a Warfarina (n = 70) tenían mayor frecuencia de Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 (p = 0.001) y Enfermedad Vascular previa (0.01). En el análisis multivariado se encontró que el uso de Warfarina se asoció significativamente a una reducción de riesgo del 79% de presentar un Evento Cerebrovascular, luego de ajustar por las variables del estudio. Conclusiones: El uso de Warfarina se asoció a una reducción significativa del riesgo de presentar un Evento Cerebrovascular comparado con el uso de Aspirina-Clopidogrel en pacientes con fibrilación auricular

Material and methods: Retrospective cohort analytical study in patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation at the Cayetano Heredia Hospital between 2016- 2020. Patients were included in the cohort exposed to warfarin and aspirin clopidogrel by means of cluster-stratified randomization. Curves were made in Kaplan-Meier graphs. The Hazard Ratios (HR) analysis was performed in STATA version 15.0 for the raw and adjusted analysis, considering a 95% confidence level. Results: The incidence rate of cerebrovascular events was 107 cases per 1000 person-months at a follow-up time of 31 months. Of 140 patients, those who belonged to the Warfarin-exposed cohort (n = 70) had a higher frequency of type 2 diabetes mellitus (p = 0.001) and previous vascular disease (0.01). In the multivariate analysis, it was found that the use of warfarin was significantly associated with a 79% reduction in risk of having a cerebrovascular event, after adjusting for the study variables.
