La técnica de recolección de datos fue mediante una encuesta. Los resultados encontrados fueron. De los 111 encuestados el 59. 5% de los estudiantes tienen una percepción negativa sobre su permanencia en la escuela profesional de obstetricia. En actitud fue lo opuesto, el 61.3% presentaron una actitud positiva sobre su permanencia en la escuela profesional de obstetricia. Conclusiones: los estudiantes tienen una percepción negativa y una actitud positiva sobre su permanencia en la escuela profesional de obstetricia. El motivo principal que determina la percepción negativa es, el mayor porcentaje de estudiantes están de acuerdo que obstetricia no fue su primera elección de estudio. Con respecto a la actitud el motivo principal que determina la actitud positiva es, el mayor porcentaje de estudiantes están de acuerdo que si reprueban una asignatura permanecerán estudiando, existiendo por lo tanto diferencia entre percepción y actitud. La investigación se basa en el modelo unidimensional.

Private University Antenor Orrego, 2018. The design was descriptive, carried out in 111 students of the professional obstetricia school of the Private University Antenor Orrego, during the 2018-1 semester. The technique of data collection was through a survey. The results found were. Of the students, 59.5% of the students have a negative perception regarding their permanence in the professional school of obstetricia. In attitude it was the opposite, 61.3% presented a positive attitude about their permanence in the professional school of Obstetricia. Conclusions: The students have a negative perception and a positive attitude about their permanence in the professional school of Obstetricia. The reason that determines the negative perception is, the highest percentage of students agree that obstetrics was not their first choice of study. With regard to the reason that determines the positive attitude is, the highest percentage of students agree that if they fail a subject they will continue studying, existing therefore difference between Perception and Attitude.
