La presente investigación estuvo enfocada en el estudio del desempeño de la diversidad de polarización en la señal uplink de una estación celular, al variar por simulación el ángulo de declinación o downtilt. Para ello se tomó como referencia un centro poblado ubicado en una zona rural del Departamento de La Libertad, evaluando su desempeño en base a criterios comparativos de nivel promedio y variabilidad de señal uplink respecto a las polarizaciones horizontal y vertical. Los resultados obtenidos para el desempeño de la diversidad de polarización, mostraron un aumento de la variabilidad de señal entre 11 dB a 22 dB con el aumento del ángulo de downtilt entre 0° a 10°. Asimismo, se identificó un aumento del nivel promedio de recepción entre -88.2 dBm hasta -85.4 dBm con un ángulo límite favorable de hasta 7° downtilt, a partir del cual la señal promedio inicia su disminución. Respecto de la comparación con polarizaciones ortogonales, la polarización horizontal es la que obtuvo los indicadores más desfavorables de variabilidad y promedio de señal uplink. |

For this, a small town located in a rural area of the Department of La Libertad was taken as a reference, evaluating their performance based on comparative criteria of average level and uplink signal variability with respect to horizontal and vertical polarizations. The results obtained for the performance of polarization diversity showed an increase in signal variability between 11 dB to 22 dB with the increase in the downtilt angle between 0° and 10°. Likewise, an increase in the average reception level between -88.2 dBm to -85.4 dBm was identified with a favorable limit angle of up to 7° downtilt, from which the average signal begins to decrease.
