El escenario de estudio fueron los centros poblados de Utao y Tambogán. Para la recolección de datos se emplearon las técnicas de la observación y entrevista, contando con la colaboración y apoyo de los pobladores. Como resultado de este trabajo de investigación hemos recopilado la vestimenta, ritual y música del Carnaval “Tinkuy” del centro poblado Utao y Tambogán logrando realizar la transcripción y análisis de las melodías en partituras musicales apoyadas con el software Finale 2011 En este estudio se llegó a la conclusión de que el Carnaval “Tinkuy” del centro poblado Utao y Tambogán es una representación de la guerra mediante el encuentro de mujeres (vestidos de varón) y varones en la plaza central, donde se realiza el “Tinkuy” (guerra con las naranjas), logrando así representar a dos grupos de autoridades (Regidor y Escribano). También se logró obtener las melodías (Llojshimunchina y Qachwuay) que acompañan al Carnaval “Tinkuy”, antes y durante la celebración.

The study scenario was the populated centers of Utao and Tambogán. For the collection of data the techniques of observation and interview were used, counting on the collaboration and support of the settlers. As a result of this research work we have collected the clothing, ritual and music of the "Tinkuy" Carnival from the Utao and Tambogán populated center, achieving the transcription and analysis of the melodies in musical scores supported by the software Finale 2011 This study concluded that the "Tinkuy" Carnival of the Utao and Tambogán settlement is a representation of the war through the encounter of women (men's dress) and men in the central square, where the "Tinkuy "(War with oranges), thus managing to represent two groups of authorities (Regidor and Clerk).
