This study aimed to analyze the benefits and challenges of adopting DevOps in Information Technology (IT) service management processes, while also considering the organizational and technical factors that influence its implementation. Using the PRISMA methodology, a search was conducted in different databases such as Scopus, IEEE Xplore, SciencieDirect and Google Scholar, then 17 final articles were analyzed. The results indicate that implementing DevOps in IT service management benefits organizations, improving service quality and productivity by promoting continuous delivery and automation, and, above all, assisting in the software development lifecycle. However, it presents challenges: staff are not highly trained, as the concept of such implementation is confusing, and it impacts business success. Therefore, it is concluded that DevOps has improved significantly, but its long-term effectiveness depends on proper integration with governance frameworks, and more empirical research is required on its sustainability.Debido a la creciente necesidad de respuestas rápidas, ciclos de entrega más cortos y despliegues más frecuentes, surge Development and Operations (DevOps) que complementa los modelos tradicionales. El estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar los beneficios y desafíos de la adopción de DevOps en los procesos de gestión de servicios de Tecnologías de la Información (TI), considerando además factores organizacionales y técnicos que influyen en su implementación. Mediante la metodología PRISMA, se realizó la búsqueda en diferentes bases de datos como es Scopus, IEEE Xplore, SciencieDirect y Google Académico, logrando analizar 17 artículos finales. Los resultados indican que la implementación de DevOps en la gestión de servicios de TI tiene beneficios en las organizaciones, ya que mejora la calidad y productividad de los servicios al promover una entrega continua, automatización y sobre todo ayuda en el ciclo de vida del desarrollo del Software. Sin embargo, presenta desafíos, el personal no está altamente capacitado, ya que es confuso el concepto de dicha implementación y afecta el éxito de las empresas.
