Recurrent flooding in the mining works, deficiencies in the operation of pumps, unforeseen stoppages, and lack of water availability in the processes, affect the operations in the subway mine. The traditional solution adopted is to wait for maintenance times for its post evacuation, generating stoppages, consumption of water from the wells and inefficiency in the daily water demand. Therefore, this article presents a new approach that will expand the traditional methods by introducing a prediction model using probabilistic methods. This approach will allow the design of an optimal water distribution system, the efficient control in the maintenance and covering of the recirculated water demand inside the mine. Variables describing problems related to pump flow, pressure zoning and the type of pump distribution, either in series or in parallel in the pumping system, will be determined. Als...

“The most devastating disease to humanity is commonly known as elephantiasis. Infection usually acquired in childhood but visible indication like pain, disfiguring occur later in life. Severely affected people will have a permanent disability. Not only had it generated physical challenges it also cost for social, psychological, and economical losses. The impact of the disease is so painful and devastating among young men and women as they live with the lifelong disfiguring condition. As the parasite attacks directly to the lymphatic system of the body whose primary function is to drain all the harmful components and impurities from tissues and cells also make a strong immune system of the body to fight against infection and diseases. Since the parasite attack damages the lymphatic vessels and capillaries. Hence the effect is on the flow of lymph resulting in lymphoedema. 90% of the cas...

This research‘s main objective quantification of iron content in sphalerites; differentiation of three types of sphalerites is obtained according to the iron content, which will be useful for the proposed solutions in the metallurgical problems. In this study themineralogical characterization of samples from the Paragsha concentrator, the mining district of Cerro de Pasco and especiallysphalerites using the method of optical microscopy was performed for which it was necessary to use a polarizing microscopereflected light.Studies was performed as accurately as in the case of modal analysis where estimates of the degree of liberation and mineralgicalassociation are made, the samples come from the metallurgical testing laboratory. The specimen was taken from the concentratorplant Paragsha, then sifted for the preparation of polished sections that were used for the characterization of each...

This research aims to enhance the classification of the rock mass in underground mining, a common problem due to geological alterations that do not fit existing methods. Artificial neural networks are proposed as a solution, which use input/output data to learn and solve problems. The process involves gathering data on rock properties and training the neural networks to identify and classify various types of rock. Once trained, the neural networks can classify the rock mass in real-time during mine design and progression, adapting to different rock types with a low margin of error of 0.279% in determining the RMR index. This research overcomes the limitations of current classification methods, providing a more accurate and reliable solution for the classification of the rock mass in underground mining. In summary, artificial neural networks are utilized to improve the classification of r...

The implementation of any software development process involves the consumption of critical resources. Software engineers cannot experiment with different development processes before starting them in real projects, due to the time that would entail and the amount of elements that are involved, so it is vital to have tools that allow the pre-visualization of the results of executing the software development process and how the environmental variables affect it, thus being able to anticipate under what conditions the software development process will be deployed. This paper presents the modelling and simulation of a software development process using System Dynamics (SD), which allows the graphical representation of the elements intervening in the software process, and the incorporation of as many relevant elements as possible. As a software costs estimation reference, the COCOMO estimati...

Inventory management has a valuable role because it identifies the loss of raw materials and maintains the economic sustainability of companies in the market. This research aims to measure inventory control and provide analysis through appropriate methodologies, such as the ABC classification system and the weighted moving average, improving warehouse management and the sales level of the company Tectum. For this purpose, the preliminary diagnosis was made employing a survey, considering The permanence at work, economic situation, classification of products according to importance, frequency of registration of inputs and outputs, knowledge of inventory management and control, and its application; which gave as a primary result that, despite not knowing the storage of products thoroughly, if they know their benefits, so they keep a record where they are classifying the products by importa...

We present a first approach to a new method to compute the motion estimation in digital videos using the two-dimensional instantaneous frequency information computed using amplitude-modulation frequency-modulation (AM-FM) methods. The optical flow vectors are computed using an iteratively reweighted norm for total variation (IRN-TV) algorithm. We compare the proposed method using synthetic videos versus a previous three-dimensional AM-FM based method and available motion estimation methods such as a phase-based, Horn-Schunck and the Lucas-Kanade methods. The results are promising producing a full density estimation with more accurate results than the other methods.

The emergence of Machine Learning (ML) technologies and their integration into agriculture has demonstrated a significant impact on disease detection in crops, enabling continuous monitoring and enhancing risk planning and management. This study applied image processing techniques such as thresholding, gamma correction, and the Stretched Neighborhood Effect Color to Grayscale (SNECG) method, alongside ML, to develop a predictive model for identifying five types of rice diseases. The ML techniques used included Logistic Regression, Multilayer Perceptron, Support Vector Machines, Decision Trees, and Random Forests (RF). Hyperparameters were optimized and evaluated through 5-fold cross-validation. In the results, the SNECG method successfully converted images to grayscale, capturing essential features of lesions on rice leaves. The ML models developed with these techniques showed evaluation...

The growth of cloud application services delivered through data centers with varying traffic demands unveils limitations of traditional load balancing methods. Aiming to attend evolving scenarios and improve the overall network performance, this paper proposes a load balancing method based on an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) in the context of Knowledge-Defined Networking (KDN). KDN seeks to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques for the control and operation of computer networks. KDN extends Software-Defined Networking (SDN) with advanced telemetry and network analytics introducing a so-called Knowledge Plane. The ANN is capable of predicting the network performance according to traffic parameters paths. The method includes training the ANN model to choose the path with least load. The experimental results show that the performance of the KDN-based data center has been greatl...

In this work we critically approach the figure of the illicit association from a double perspective: historical and constitutional, questioning its theoretical foundations and its jurisprudential use. We connect your employment with arbitrary criminal proceedings where procedural guarantees are usually violated. We recover its political history in times of witch hunts, when the term „subversive association“ is born, in times of persecution of the coven, taken by many contemporary historians (especially feminist as Silvia Federici) as forms of resistance to new forms of organization of rural property (since behind the witch hunt was the expansion of rural capitalism) or resistance to the privatization of land in Europe. We conclude, making a parallel with the witch hunt (political criminalization program), that the alternative to the constant and growing criminalization of marginaliz...
