The application of neoliberal policies from the 1990s implied reforms in the transport sector. These reforms meant the liberalization of the transportation system, with which various restrictions were removed and state intervention was limited. This had repercussions on the operation of companies, as occurs in the labour sphere. To illustrate the implications of such state measures, the company Real Express is taken as an example, of which the respective actors and functions are presented as an approach to the development of their activities. Out of this functioning, conditions of labour precarity stand out, in the face of which mechanisms of resistance by workers against such arise through a moral economy and other individual strategies that allow them to adapt to such conditions and maximize their benefits as much as possible. This article presents a hypothesis about the interregional exchange routes during the Formative period in northern Peru and southern Ecuador from the point of view the Huancabamba Valley, especially the archaeological site of Ingatambo. This hypothesis is based on an analysis of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), «least-cost paths», and the comparison of archaeological materials. This analysis showed that the routes transformed gradually during the Middle Formative period due to a change in the transportation means, from traveling on foot to the use of camelids, which was closely related to the social change of the sites connected by them. Public transportation in Peru was regulated in the mid-90's to encourage improvements in service, routes and quantities of vehicles. Since then, contrary to what was expected, traffic jams, accidents, and overall poor levels of service are encountered in expressways, avenues and intersections alike. Mismanagement, lack of knowledge, political interests and even constitutional restrictions do not help improving the current conditions (Quistberg, Koepsell, Boyle, Miranda, Johnston and Ebel, 2014). The company currently uses the SAP Business One ERP technology platform v9.1 and support their operations especially the processes of the value chain. It is known that traffic congestion is a major problem that affects various countries. In this way, multiple solutions have been proposed with the aim of reducing this problem. However, they have not been able to mitigate this phenomenon. Due to this, this article presents a proposed solution to the aforementioned problem in order to reduce traffic congestion and improve the passability of an avenue in an urban area without the need to invest large amounts of money as is the case of the construction of road infrastructure. This article estimates the social savings of the railroads in Peru in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The construction of railroads made it possible for Peruvians to substitute the traditional system of mules and llamas, although only for a few routes. Using primary and secondary sources, I estimate the social savings for 1890, 1904, 1914 and 1918. Social savings ranged between 0.4% and 1.4% of GDP in 1890, but then increased to a range between 3.7% and 9.5% of GDP in 1918. The social savings of railroads in Peru were comparable to those for the United States and Great Britain, but were much lower than those for Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.

La planificación eficiente de rutas es crucial para las empresas de logística y transporte, especialmente en el sector de gestión de residuos, donde una operación deficiente puede elevar costos, generar retrasos y desperdiciar recursos. En este contexto, la presente investigación evaluó el impacto de aplicar el Problema de Ruteo de Vehículos con Ventanas de Tiempo Periódicas (PVRPTW) sobre la productividad operativa de una empresa de gestión de residuos en Chorrillos. The aim of the study was to evaluate the transport of steers by behavioral and physiological indicators and its relationship with high pH of the beef at 24 h after slaughter. A total of 56 Zebu steers (2.5 ± 0.2 years old, 429.9 ± 29.3 kg) were evaluated in four trips to the slaughterhouse under similar conditions (route, truck, and driver), where behavioral indicators (affiliative and agonistic interactions, body postures, body direction in the truck and exploration), stress physiological indicators, and beef pH24 were evaluated. No significant differences were observed in the behavioral variables and the muscle pH24 according to the compartments of the truck. The affiliative interactions were more frequent than the agonistic. Hematocrit and cortisol, glucose and creatine kinase blood concentrations showed high values. This paper pretends to analyze the functioning and the limitations of some legal tools that the Peruvian state has posed as a part of his normative answer to the grave phenomenon of illegal gold mining, organized form of criminality whose utilities have surpassed the ones of drug trafficking. With this purpose, two axes of analysis has been proposed with incidence upon the illegal commercialization of gold: (i) the criminal tools, which specifically involve the crimes of illegal mining, clandestine commerce and money laundering; and (ii) the administrative tools, which involve the Legislative Decrees N° 1103 and 1107, the Supreme Decrees N° 012-2012-EM and N° 17-2009-MTC, among others. The authors have noticed several legislative policy errors in these elements and therefore implement recommendations to increase the global effectiveness of the regulation.

Between March and May 2020, as cities responded to Covid-19 globally, Quito entered a phase of quarantine that immobilized the city’s public transport system. In this context, this article focuses on how informal transport services continued to operate on the peripheries to provide a mobility service in absence of public transport. The article asks: What did informal transport services such as taxirrutas do during the Covid-19 pandemic? Based on 31 interviews with taxirruta drivers, the article highlights how the sector was characterized by immutability. That is, companies did not change their routes or increase trip prices.
