The principle of exhaustion of rights is one of the most discussed matters in intellectual property law, forming part of a debate that has not culminated in a global agreement. However, its application is present in all countries and the evaluation of its scope has deserved the attention of the doctrine and the courts of justice of the world. This work focuses on the field of trademarks and tries to show a gene ral perspective on the exhaustion of the right in its presence in international trade, through parallel imports. Likewise, it includes some of the economic reasons that support the existence or restriction of parallel imports, as well as an analysis of their regulation in international trade law.

This paper evaluates the role that the external sector plays in the US and Mexican economic structures in the perspective of the integration process as found about the time the North American Free Trade Agreement was signed. Thus the paper pursues finding indicators for the integration levels between these two economies in the 1990's. The method of analysis relies upon the Input-Output model. Results suggest that those economies maintain an asymmetric relationship concerning the nature of their bilateral trade, e.g., the weight of that exchange in the total foreign trade is quite different. Nevertheless, these economies show striking structural similarities, which explain the parallel role that trade plays in each country, despite the obvious differences in the importance of the external sector in each economic structure.

The contemporary commitment of inquiry had as equitable to dispose the elements that the main points of blueberry exports in the region of La Libertad towards the American business, also the perception that entrepreneurs have before this juncture, the cultivation of blueberries is growing in Peru and constitutes an important business opportunity, due to international demand; especially in the United States of America, where its production is not enough to cover the demand of its consumers. The research corresponds to the applied type, non-experimental design and with a quantitative approach. The population was conformed by the companies that have the activity of blueberries, the sample was represented by 30 businessmen.
