The work of leaching is developed in Fewer, Concentrated and Refractory Material (sulfured), in pulp or particles (agitation or piles) to ambient temperature in advance of maximum leaching of twelve hours, using like half lixiviante the acid sulfuric concentrate added salts oxidizers like the chlorides and nitrate of sodium or ammonium nitrate in different proportions. The results obtained regarding the recovery of gold reach 98%. If the gold is encapsulated in the quartz or auriferous sand, fluoride of sodium will be added (never to use the calcium, because it forms plaster that hinders the process) with the purpose of dissolving the quartz, it doesn’t dissolve neither complex form with the gold, it is also good to leave in you liberate noble metals as the titanium, platinum, talio, germanium, etc., those which then are recovered with the means lixiviante to which I have denominated S...

Short stature is a sign of chronic malnutrition. It occurs in individuals who usually live in poverty, such as the case of rural communities and indigenous people of Mexico (Muñoz & Chávez, 2007). This condition is detrimental for neuropsychological development and is associated with the presence of neurological soft signs. Therefore, the purpose of this cross-sectional field study was to explore whether a group of indigenous Mazahua children with early malnutrition show neurological soft signs. The study was conducted in two rural communities at the Mazahua region in the State of Mexico. The participants were 36 children aged 6 to 10 with severe malnutrition andanemia. They were selected using a non-probabilistic intentional quota sampling. They were assessed with the Neurological Soft Signs Scale (SNB-MX) proposed by Salvador-Cruz et al. (2018). Regardless of the age, the results...

Sepsis is considered a public health problem because severe infections still are a major cause of death worldwide. Within the comprehensive management of the patient with severe sepsis or septic shock, the early administration of an appropriate antimicrobial regimen is one of the key strategies for survival and for reducing morbidity and mortality. In this review, we describe the antimicrobial therapy for the following conditions: severe pneumonia, urosepsis, intra-abdominal infections, serious skin and soft tissue infections, bacterial meningitis, fungal sepsis, venous catheter-related infections, and sepsis of undetermined origin. It is necessary for physicians who take care of patients with serious infections, that they must know not only the clinical manifestations of each process, but also their epidemiological characteristics, local bacterial prevalence, resistance patterns and pha...

Maternal health is deteriorating across the world due to multiple factors including increasing rates of obesity, chronic medical conditions such as chronic hypertension, type II diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, as well as advanced maternal age by the time of conception. These factors summed to the increasing cesarean delivery rate, lack of standardization of clinical practices, and inappropriate care during obstetrical urgencies are all major contributors to the rising rates of major obstetrical complications and maternal death. In recent years, national and international health care organizations have proposed new definitions of major maternal morbidity. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines “near maternal miss” (NMM) as the series of events leading from good health to a life-threatening complication associated with organ dysfunction or failure. Conversely, the Centers fo...

Objective: To determine if simulation is more effective than conventional exposition in the improvement in nurses’ knowledge of severe preeclampsia. Methods: Crosssectional quasi-experimental study in two private clinics in Cajamarca, Peru. We compared the improvement in nurses’ knowledge of severe preeclampsia: 13 attended to a conventional exposition about severe preeclampsia (Exconv) and 16, the experimental group, had the same exposition and four simulation training sessions (Sim). We conducted a pretest in both groups and a posttest in 20participants; these were composed of multiple choice questions previously validated by experts; Spearman-Brown reliability was 0.76. The simulation training sessions were recorded in video and evaluated by an expert with a checklist adapted from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Data was processed with SPSS 20.0. We used S...

Since the growing health crisis produced by COVID-19, our economic, social, and judicial environment has undergone several changes. Among these changes are the measures adopted by the judiciary to continue protecting rights and to continue with «normality» in its own work. This article comments on Directive No. 007-2020-CE-PJ approved by Administrative Resolution of the Executive Council of the Judiciary No. 000167-2020-CE-PJ, which implemented the «Simplified and Virtual Process of Food for Children and Adolescents». Indeed, it will be analyzed its main scopes and relevant modifications with regards to the traditional process. Likewise, the experience of the Superior Court of Justice of La Libertad with respect to the implementation of the virtual form of food demand will be taken into consideration.

The rights of children and adolescents, as well as other beneficiaries entitled to support, are a priority that must be asserted. The objective is to determine the impact on the principle of the best interests of the child of the lack of legal regulations that enable the timely and proportional payment of child support by obligated payers with multiple households. The approach is mixed, descriptive-analytical, and statistical information was collected from the Ecuadorian Automatic Judicial Processing System (SATJE) and the Single System of Child Support (SUPA). The SUPA results reveal pensions below $200, and 22% of the cards are for pensions under $100. This demonstrates a clear inequality in the distribution of resources and compromises the best interests of the child. In conclusion, the application of proportional support in Ecuador presents deficiencies in its implementation, as effe...

This study investigated how advertisers from the creation area of large advertising agencies perceive and characterize their creative process. Thirteen Brazilian professionals were interviewed using semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed by content analysis. Results indicate that several stages of the creative process overlap, such as the incubation period of one job functioning as the preparation for the next. Motivating factors include pleasure of the act of creating, media visibility and its social reach. Limiting factors include the agencies’ excessive departmentalization, reduced deadlines, and the clients’ subjectivity influencing the advertisement approval.

Early enteral nutrition through a feeding tube is essential for the management of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). Nasojejunal tube nutrition has been preferred on the assumption that it provided pancreatic rest in comparison to the nasogastric tube. However, nasojejunal tube placement is complex, may delay feeding initiation and can increase hospital costs. Our aim was to compare the efficacy and safety of enteral feeding with a nasogastric tube versus nasojejunal tube in patients with SAP. We searched four databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Embase) until December 1, 2022. We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing enteral feeding by nasogastric and nasojejunal tubes in patients with SAP. Primary outcome was all-cause mortality. Secondary outcomes were organ failure, infection, complications, surgical intervention, duration of tube feeding and length of hospit...

This paper explores the juridification processes that take place in the peasant rounds of the Macusani District in the Puno region, viewed as a place where legal pluralism operates at the margins of the State. For that purpose, elements of the state are identified in the practices and discourse of the peasants. Especially, the legal language adopted by this peasant organization and what that means for the construction of its legitimacy and authority. This qualitative research employs the ethnographic method to analyze a case documented during fieldwork, an emergency meeting of the peasant round of Macusani is narrated, in which several moments where legal instruments are strategically invoked by the peasants are identified. This adoption and appropriation of legal terms and instruments, such as the International Labor Organization’s 169 treaty, the Nº 27908 Law of Peasant rounds, the ...

«Conformidad» is a very old institution in the Spanish criminal procedure system, since it dates back to the 19th century. In recent decades it has experienced a notable increase in its application as a negotiated criminal justice mechanism, as a result of several modifications in the Law of Criminal Procedure that have sought to introduce more space for negotiation in said figure and encourage its use. However, as an unwanted effect, such modifications have made the already convoluted regulation of said institute more complex, which makes it difficult to understand its physiognomy. This paper examines the current state of «conformidad» in the Spanish Criminal Procedure Law. Its scope of application, its requirements, its content, its processing and its effects are reviewed in the ordinary procedure, in the abbreviated procedure and in the fast procedure. A critical analysis of «con...
