Introduction: The quality of higher education in Colombia is measured through the indicators that the Saber-Pro Tests show, this exam evaluates generic and specific competencies of the future professional in psychology, therefore, in this research the analysis of the relationship between the academic average, the results obtained in the admission exam, the Saber 11 Tests, the Saber Pro Tests and the academic average of Psychology students at the University of Magdalena. Methods: All students who were admitted between 2012 and 2016 were selected, being 246 female and 86 male, multivariate analysis was used. The article analyzes the place of the media in the construction of experiences and meanings about insecurity, giving an account of findings and theoretical-methodological keys that contribute to the approach of the diffuse power of the media in this phenomenon. It is part of an investigation carried out in the city of Córdoba between 2016 and 2018, in which we inquire about the relationships between the media system, the transformations of the public space and the link between the police journalistic genre and the ways in which subjects experience insecurity. This paper analyzes the information treatment of the Mapuche people in the newspaper El Mercurio during two periods. First, between 1950 and 1973 (twentieth century); and second, during the years 2010, 2013 and 2014, (21st century). To this end, a corpus of 340 journalistic texts has been selected, of which 147 correspond to the 20th century (1950-1970) and 193, to the 21st century (2010, 2013-2014). The analysis shows that most of the frames are linked to conflicts, criminal prosecutions and arson attacks; so that El Mercurio prioritizes connotations and negative events to inform about the Mapuche indigenous people.

La investigación de tesis aborda el proceso que ha seguido la demanda por agua en el Conflicto por el Proyecto minero Conga, expresada en el discurso del Comando Unitario de Lucha, un colectivo de la sociedad civil de Cajamarca que ha propuesto a lo largo de tres años diversas acciones y estrategias para reclamar el agua. El presente artículo explora la genealogía como metodología crítica en el aná- lisis de sistemas de poder, conocimiento y resistencia, articulando las contribuciones de Friedrich Nietzsche y Michel Foucault. Desde una perspectiva genealógica, se analiza cómo el carnaval urbano de Andahuaylas ha funcionado como un espacio de resistencia cultural frente a las estructuras de poder político, social y económico a lo largo de la historia.
