Improving employability is one of the key objectives of universities, for which it is essential to identify the competences of the professional profiles that have emerged in the digital era, such as the SEO (Search Engine Optimiser). This article proposes a competency profile and compares the degree of importance given by companies and professionals to a previously identified set of competencies. A sequential exploratory design (Dexplos) has been followed, in its derivative modality, which combines a mixed methodology by stages. The starting point was the labour demand analysis on SEO and 23 interviews were conducted with experts. El Objetivo principal de este trabajo fue estimar las reservas minerales finales para la empresa DRP división Cobriza para el año 2020, para ello fue necesario aplicar un software minero de alta precisión para optimizar tajos minables como Stope Shape Optimizer (SSO) desarrollada por Alford mining para Datamine, en el presente estudio muestro las técnicas de optimización usadas, aclaro los parámetros requeridos y proporciono las pautas para una eficiente procesamiento del software pocas veces explicados en trabajos similares, debido a la alta complejidad de la metodología. New versions of the metaheuristic Multi-Particle Collision Algorithm (MPCA) are presented. In order to provide more effective candidate solutions for an optimization problem, the concept of opposition and reflection is introduced to improve the capacity to find a solution in the search space. Four different strategies to compute the reflected and opposite points are implemented. The performance of all implementations is evaluated over thirty objective functions with different complexities, using serial and parallel versions of the algorithms.

The present article develops a number of classical economic-financial applications in continuous time based on the software Stella (Isee Systems, Inc.). The problems under analysis basically deal with modeling projected free cash flows and investments, and their Net Present Value estimation, a process which in many cases may require numerical integration. The document shows how Stella allows construction of a model in a simple fashion, and with it to make simulations that give graphical solutions, as is the case of the decision of the optimal harvest time, or the selection between alternative projects, among others.

La tesis sobre la aplicación de Stope Optimizer se aplicó en un proyecto WASSA, ubicado en el país de Ghana, al oeste de África, región de mucha pobreza, donde existen yacimientos auríferos para explotación y tratamiento. In this study we have developed a method for optimizing the parameters of quality of products that consists of five steps: 1) Determine the characteristics of product quality and process variables 2) Develop an experimental design with Taguchi Methods 3) Develop experiments with Response Surface Methodology. 4) Determine a neural network that represents the relationships between variables and quality characteristics. Using fuzzy variables if there is information not deterministic. 5) Optimize with the use of genetic algorithms. In this proposal, artificial neural networks ANN allow to estimate response functions; in the case of having the qualitative variables these are processed with fuzzy logic LD and in the optimization step genetic algorithms GA are used. An example of optimization with multiple responses is presented to verify the method.

Use of biosurfactants in bioremediation, facilitates and accelerates microbial degradation of hydrocarbons. CTAB/MB agar method created by Siegmund & Wagner for screening of rhamnolipids (RL) producing strains, has been widely used but has not improved significantly for more than 20 years. To optimize the technique as a quantitative method, CTAB/MB agar plates were made and different variables were tested, like incubation time, cooling, CTAB concentration, methylene blue presence, wells diameter and inocula volume. Furthermore, a new method for RL detection within halos was developed: precipitation of RL with HCl, allows the formation a new halos pattern, easier to observe and to measure. The process of Pre Pro- fessional Practice Management (PGPP) of the Universidad Peruana Union was optimized and automated, a subsidiary in Tarapoto (UPeU FT). The development of the design is based on interviews conducted at the operational level as the headmaster’s; the process optimization was performed using a tool for BPM mo- deling. El objetivo de este trabajo es comprender mejor el impacto que el error de estimación en los parámetros tiene sobre el rendimiento de un portafolio e identificar formas de reducirlo. Para eso, trabajamos en el marco de la Teoría Moderna del Portafolio. A partir de esto, se han aplicado y analizado varias reglas de portafolio a 14 conjuntos de datos. Luego, se analizaron mediante experimentos de cálculo utilizando el software de MATLAB. Se midió y entendió la capacidad de las diversas reglas de la cartera para reducir el impacto del error de estimación en función de varias variables. El estudio muestra que añadir restricciones a los portafolios es una forma eficaz de mitigar el impacto del error de estimación.
