In Peru, chicken is one of the most consumed foods in all regions. Due to the constant increase in population,chicken production is increasing in the country. For this reason, a food company must improve its efficiency to satisfy more customers and reduce its costs per productive unit without reducing its quality. The research can be useful to canning companies as well as companies where their machines suffer from many failures within production due to a lack of maintenance planning and worker training. The model used is based on two methodologies: 5S and TPM. These methodologies reduced the total production time per batch by 8% and improved the utilization rate by 7 percentage points. The use of these tools helped reduce corrective maintenance time and standardize processes to avoid recurring equipment failures.

The particular situation of the aeronautical industry in the coming years will force related manufacturing plants to analyze their production processes seeking, among other things that could be remarkable, greater flexibility and efficiency. This article analyzes the manufacturing process of a production line of aircraft turbine components, which faced flow and production capacity problems. The study used the methodology applied by Okutmuş et al. (2015) for data collection, and subsequently, resorted to the methodology used by Molano & Materón (2018) to analyze of the information. Finally, it concludes that production capacity could be increased. Therefore, realistic proposals on the case are presented, which allow improvements in its capacity in the near future.

Moreover, its objective is to mitigate the technical gap that leads to monetary losses for the company in question. In terms of methodology, the research used a case study design focused on pre-test and post-test analyses to identify the key improvements. The results revealed a 35 % reduction in company losses and an increase of 19 % in the service level.

This proposal aims to improve the efficiency of the packaging process of a company specialized in seasonings and ground foods through the application of the Lean Manufacturing approach. To carry out this study, data was collected from a Peruvian company, which was evaluated using a simulated validation model in the Arena version 16.1 program. This process included the participation of experts in the relevant areas, ensuring significant results for potential implementation. The results obtained indicated a significant reduction from 7.5% to 0.08% in the generation of defective products per production. This research covers the technical and soft skills required in software development, a globally in-demand activity. These skills are required to efficiently perform in a very globalized, competitive field. Previous studies show the existence of a gap between industry and academia. Training centers provide professionals with technical skills, but as of late, the need for soft skills has become apparent, making it important to study and find ways to embed them into the professionals who join the industry. The application of Personal Software Process (PSP) methodology helps students to strengthen their skills in the software development process, however, the method is not widespread in academia nor industry. Currently, competitiveness within the service industry has reached outstanding levels. In the pursuit of increasing the quality and efficiency of services, the ap-proaches of continuous improvement acquire undeniable relevance. This research aimed to implement, analyze, and assess the effects of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology within the service industry for process optimization through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). The presented case study is a workshop for equipment maintenance where, through the DMAIC methodological design, Lean Six Sigma and TPM methodologies were implemented to increase process effi-ciency.
