Investigative Journalism has not been done inside media companies anymore. They do not provide conditions necessary to sustain this activity for monitoring and control of policy power in a society. Both radio, like television, such as print, have been cornered by fall of advertising investment, incessant rise of price of paper as raw material, and displaced by arrival of telephone operators as new owners of communication news channel. Managers of traditional media have been forced to make budget cuts. However, nonprofit organizations has initiated recovery of investigative journalism. The aim of this work is to make a compilation of six major U.S. efforts by providing resources to investigative journalism. I try to describes their ways to get money, but also identifies its risks.

El presente proyecto de investigación busca analizar el mejoramiento del performance que obtiene una cartera tradicional al agregarle un índice de Hedge Fund , lo cual es una importante información para todos los inversores que participan en las bolsas de valores que integran el Mercado Integrado Latinoamericano. El problema que se plantea es cómo puede mejorar el riesgo de invertir en acciones del Mercado Integrado Latinoamericano, usando las diferentes estrategias del índice de Hedge Fund, ante la rentabilidad actual. Se realiza por medio del apalancamiento, normalmente usando diferentes tipos de derivados, (futures, forwards y swaps Como el LETF busca obtener el múltiplo del rendimiento del mercado en una base diaria. El rendimiento para periodos mayores a un día, puede diferir del múltiplo del rendimiento del activo subyacente en el mismo periodo. Para ilustrar la estructura, el rendimiento y los riesgos que involucran estos productos, se aplica un método de simulación Monte Carlo a través del lenguaje de programación de código abierto Python.

The purpose of this research was to develop a methodology that allows the financial management analysis of the supplementary unemployment and retirement funds of Ecuador. Purpose. This article examines whether deviations from fundamental value or closed-end country fund's discounts or premiums forecast future share price returns or net asset returns. Design/methodology/approach. The main empirical (econometric) tool is a vector autoregressive (VAR) model. The authors model share price returns and net asset returns as a function of their lagged values, the discounts or premiums, and a control variable for local market returns. The authors also conduct Dickey Fuller and Granger causality tests as well as impulse response functions. Findings. It was found that deviations from fundamental value do predict share price returns.
