A difusão das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) no Paraná está associada a iniciativas de desenvolvimento locais, ao longo dos anos 2000, por meio da formação de Arranjos Produtivos Locais (APLs) especializados e vinculados às diferentes regiões do estado (Região Metropolitana de Curitiba, Maringá e região, Ponta Grossa e região, Londrina e região, Região Sudoeste, Região Oeste). Esses APL estabeleceram programas voltados a temas de interesse comuns, notadamente o desenvolvimento de conhecimento em TIC, com ênfase na qualificação de mão de obra. Essas iniciativas buscavam o aumento da competitividade na área, em âmbito nacional e internacional. Communication for development (CfD) is a discipline that seeks to promote social change through the strategic use of media and participatory dialogue. However, there is a paucity of studies that systematically and critically analyze the social processes underlying CfD interventions and their impact on the social significance of beneficiary communities. This article presents a narrative review of the literature on CfD, with the aim of identifying the main theoretical and methodological approaches that have addressed this topic, as well as the main limitations and challenges facing research in this field. This paper aims to analyze the relevance of verbal, paraverbal and nonverbal communication for a group of students by observing and evaluating a speaker’s speech. The corpus analyzed is composed of the notes made by 30 students about the communicative flaws detected in a speaker’s speech. The results obtained indicate that 11.27% of such criticisms were aimed at verbal communication, 30.82% at paraverbal communication and 57.89% at nonverbal communication. Therefore, these conclusions are similar to those reached by Mehrabian (1972), although they differ in part from the ones presented in van der Hofstadt (2005) or Orzáiz (2009). The implications of these results are discussed.

Las relaciones entre discapacidad y pobreza son múltiples y complejas. A lo largo de varias décadas los estudios sobre las personas con discapacidad han estado perfilando hacia una interpretación del hecho y no de la relación de ambas variables desde el punto de vista explicativo. Por lo que, el objetivo de este artículo es analizar la relación entre la discapacidad y la pobreza como expresión de desigualdad social, utilizando los enfoques teóricos y evidencias empíricas desde la perspectiva sociológica. The purpose of this study was to provide evidence of validity and reliability for the Barnes and Olson’s (1982) Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale among university students from Lima, aged 16 to 25. Participants were 255 students (162 females) from two universities. An exploratory factor analysis was performed to assess the viability of bi-factor and tri-factor structures. This exploratory factor analysis supported the two-factor structure originally proposed for this instrument (open communication and problem communication). Both in the father-adolescent and in the mother-adolescent version, obtained Cronbach’s alpha values were high (ranging between .80 and .90). The structural model also showed good fit indexes. This confirms the reliability and validity of this instrument in the sample under study.

Introduction. Writing academic texts is one of the most frequent and complex activities carried out at the university. For this reason, it is important to specify which are the pedagogical strategies and tools that teachers use to teach writing. Objective: A systematic investigation was carried out on the main research related to techno-pedagogical strategies. Method: In this case, 35 research articles on the topic itself and 17 additional articles were consulted to support the methodology and context of the article.
