This article comments on Directive No. 007-2020-CE-PJ approved by Administrative Resolution of the Executive Council of the Judiciary No. 000167-2020-CE-PJ, which implemented the «Simplified and Virtual Process of Food for Children and Adolescents». Indeed, it will be analyzed its main scopes and relevant modifications with regards to the traditional process. Likewise, the experience of the Superior Court of Justice of La Libertad with respect to the implementation of the virtual form of food demand will be taken into consideration.

Objectives: To determine the relationship between consumption of ultra-processed food and anthropometric parameters in school age children of a school in El Agustino, Lima. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried-out applying a questionnaire about consumption of ultra-processed food and measuring anthropometric parameters in school children between 9-17 years of age during November 2017. High consumption was considered (≥ 5 points) and low consumption (< 5 points). Data on sociodemographic information (age in years and gender); weight; height; body mass index (BMI); body mass index for age; height for age and abdominal perimeter were collected as well. The Peruvian Amazon region is experiencing a number of impacts such as deforestation which results in loss of vegetation cover and consequently reduced habitat for wildlife. The aim of this study was to evaluate the entomological diversity in an ecosystem in a natural regeneration process (BS) and a primary forest (BP) in Bongará, Amazonas, Peru. The insects were collected using pitfall traps, with bait and malaise, which were arranged in a cross system having as midpoint the center of each area. The collection was made during three periods: dry, semi-dry and rainy. 18650 insects and 150 families distributed in 13 orders were classified. Those Orders who had a higher percentage of richness and abundance were, respectively, Diptera (24%; 45.2%), Coleoptera (24%; 26.4%) and Hymenoptera (21.3%; 14%). Comparing the two areas assessed, BP had a higher abundance compared to BS. The two most a...

Purpose. This study investigates whether evaluation using artificial intelligence (AI) with a customized GPT model can be comparable to, or complementary to, human evaluation in graphic design projects created by master's degree students. Methodology. A total of 180 logos were evaluated over six years using a 10-item Likert scale rubric. Each project received a double assessment, one by human experts and one by AI. Results and Conclusions. The results show agreement in five categories between human evaluators and AI (e.g., originality, relevance) while, in another five categories (e.g., balance, design principles), AI tended to overvalue the works when compared to human assessment. The qualitative analysis of the AI’s feedback identified strengths, but also limitations. In conclusion, a hybrid human-AI evaluation could improve fairness and efficiency in creativity grading, although AI ...

The objective of this research was to determine corrosion rate (Vcorr) iron ASTM A36, in solutions of sodiumx cyanide and thiourea. Further evaluate the effect of this electrochemical phenomenon in costs associated with gold leaching processes. The corrosion rate was determined in mm / year by polarization curves. Costs were determined by a cost analysis using synthetic indicators. The corrosion rate of iron ASTM A36 in sodium cyanide solutions in concentrations of 0.62 g / L; 0.80 g / L and thiourea solutions 0.96 g / L; 1.24 g / L was evaluated. The results show that the corrosion rate of the metal is slightly higher in the solution of thiourea 1.24 g / L (3.03 mm / year) with the following behavior: Thiourea 1.24g / L> Thiourea 0.96 g / L> Cyanide 0.80 g / L ≈ Cyanide 0.62 g / L. It was estimated that corrosion costs in gold leaching processes are between 4.78 and 5.20% of the...

The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the processes that make up reading comprehension (perceptive, lexical, syntactic and semantic) and the metacognitive reading skills (planning, supervision and evaluation) in students of cycle V (5th and 6th grade of elementary school) from a private school, located in the district of Santiago de Surco, Lima (Peru). The instruments used were the Battery of Evaluation of the Reading Processes - Revised (PROLEC-R) and adapted for students of Metropolitan Lima, and the Scale of Reading Consciousness (ESCOLA). The sample consisted of 80 students (50 of the 5th grade and 30 of the 6th grade), being a non-probabilistic by convenience, sampling. The results show that there is a correlation between the variables (at a global level and for each process); however, this relationship occurs at various levels of significance. The ...

The process of revaluing the built heritage of the Huaca San Borja, located within the metropolitan area of the capital of Peru, Lima, ran from 1986 to 2016. During these years and due to changes in government, and thence, in the orientation of public institutions, the management processes initiated after various agreements did not comply with placing this important heritage into social use, and today, construction work for its revaluation is still happening. On the other hand, in the different stages of the process, the local neighbors’ participation was not contemplated. The public and private entities that were in charge did not communicate that work would be done, much less how they would be linked to the project, given that they would be the main custodians of this archaeological heritage. This study analyzes the three management processes that the Huaca San Borja went through and...

In this research we progress towards a more specific understanding about republican slavery forms, social resistance experiences of the slaved and freed black population, and practice of the abolitionist system carried out in a situation of building up the republic in a regional space: the province of Piura. Through case studies, we examine the path that afro-descendants assumed using laws and social force of their representatives in the courts to destroy the chains that oppressed them under the new creole republic. We review liberations through purchase, sell, and master’s grace, but also other forms of freedom conquest as the banditry social movement in a independence war context. Likewise, we present and examine the political experience that will be lived by popular castes settled within Tangarará’s latifundia, and political resistance to the elimination project of the Querecotil...

Communication for development (CfD) is a discipline that seeks to promote social change through the strategic use of media and participatory dialogue. However, there is a paucity of studies that systematically and critically analyze the social processes underlying CfD interventions and their impact on the social significance of beneficiary communities. This article presents a narrative review of the literature on CfD, with the aim of identifying the main theoretical and methodological approaches that have addressed this topic, as well as the main limitations and challenges facing research in this field. Thirty-five articles published between 2018 and 2023 were analyzed, selected through a search in the Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Redalyc and Latindex databases. The results show that most of the studies adopt a qualitative and participatory perspective, focused on the analysis of spec...
