The evaluation of socio-affective development in the child population is perceived as necessity in Cuba’s clinical and educational actions due to the low mortality levels that can result in the presence of several health risks among children; on the other hand, and in the specific case of affective problems, there are few valid and reliable tests for their early detection. Objective: To validate the Child Behavior Checklist questionnaire for a preschool population sample (4-6 years) with special needs, in the Cienfuegos province of Cuba. Material and Methods: Two samples, N1 (320 children) as a reference group to obtain percentiles and perform content validation, expert and internal consistency, and N2 (60 children) with developmental alterations to validate the percentiles and characterize future potential patients. Results: Adequate reliability values (alpha when the item is removed ...

The present work had the purpose of pointing out and solving some of the conceptual problems related to the area of knowledge called psychological development. The first step in achieving this was to clarify whether psychological development is a sub-discipline of psychology or an area in which different disciplines converge. As objectives were reached, it was imperative to describe, in an introductory way, the strategies that have been implemented from interbehavioral psychology to solve the problems related to the definition of psychological development and, therefore, with the object of psychology study. Starting from the definition of this object, it was possible to distinguish between human development as an area of knowledge in which different disciplines converge and psychological development as an area of psychology, overcoming the confusions originated from taking them as equiva...

This paper describes the methodology used to predict the behavior presented by a displacement boat when it sails in certain sea conditions. It is important that the naval engineer determines this behavior in the design phase of the boat, because this way you can evaluate the adverse performance, such as the rise of the propellant, shipping water on deck, slamming and excessive accelerations vertical. The harmful effects described above are predicted by the response spectra of the vessel for a given sea condition and for a given movement. The procedure used for obtaining Response Spectra consists of overlapping Unitary Operator Response in regular waves for a given vessel movement (RAO) and the energy spectrum of Pierson-Moskowitz, used to represent the sea in a certain condition. The operator of the boat united response was determined using a Dynamic Vessel program based on the Th...

Molecular networks may be considered as elastic fluids, the conformational abilities of which are adecuately characterized with the aid of the model of a Van der Waals conformational gas with weak interactions. The internal properties are submitted to the conditions of internal equilibrium, thus, having their changes uniquely related to the global transformations of the network upon deformation. The global properties are at least determining the limits of stability which are expressed in the Van der Waals approach by formulating of a reduced equation of state of real networks. lt will be discussed on hand of thermo-elastic measurements and its quantitative description what is in need for a full and self-containing phenomenological description of molecualr networks.

The purpose of the present article is to make a critical analysis to the dominant classic epidemiological positionthat explains health-disease duality from genetics and lifestyles. It talks about how political, economic, cultural, environmental and demographic structure are strongly influenced by the social determinant of health, related tosanitary inequities, which may pose barriers to the adoption of healthy lifestyles, especially to people in extremepoverty, armed conflict, disasters and other hard conditions, which are prevailing circumstances in low andmiddle income countries. It discusses the need to transcend the paradigm of health education which is highlyprescriptive and does not offer the expected results. The research is documentary, and was based on a journalisticliterature review. It concludes that it is necessary to transcend into a holistic paradigm to explain the healthdis...

Psychometric study aimed at the development and validation of an instrument to assess the level of propensity for violent behavior. The propensity for violent behavior is considered as the person’s willingness to more persistently present attitudes and behaviors linked to impulsiveness, aggressiveness, anger, and hostility, which could lead them to commit violent acts. The instrument was applied to a sample of 362 men and women, young people and adults from the city of Lima. The test was initially made up of 24 items that have been shown to have judge validity, internal validity in terms of the discrimination power of each item using the extreme group method, as well as reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha method, to be considered. a valid and reliable instrument. The exploratory factor analysis finally determined the acceptance of 13 items. The psychometric properties as well as the r...

The Parental Behavior Inventory (PBI) it is a recent self-report instrument designed to capture two independent global dimensions of the parental behavior mothers/fathers of preschool and younger students: Two studies were made to obtain evidences of the construct validity and internal dependability. Our first study had the goal of verifying the two constructos (construct validity); the results obtained using an confirmatory factorial analysis point out that both constructs can be identified in the sample of Peruvian evaluated mothers (n=115). The reliability to both subscales also is satisfactory. The second study it was made in 58 mothers, and we looked for extend the construct validity by means of the correlacional study of the PBI with emotional, couple’s relationship and demographic variables; the results suppo

Suicide is the second cause of death in adolescents, with depression being the most frequently associated disorder, whose symptoms can be explained by Beck's cognitive triad. The case of a 15-year-old female adolescent is presented, a user of social networks as a platform for the information and manifestation of symptoms of depression, and of the desire to seek help; she was finally treated in an emergency room and hospitalized for the management of a depressive episode with suicidal attempt. This case allows to describe the process through which a social network directly influences a patient's mood disorder and its consequences.

The concept of behavior is commonly used in our everyday speech. In the twentieth century, it became an important term because he began to take the place of the subject matter of the social sciences, particularly psychology. Therefore, we conducted an investigation where we analyze sociologically, historically and culturally the term behavior. Primary and secondary sources were reviewed. As a result, it is observed that the concept had two historical uses: a) as synonymous with character, with an emphasis of meaning in the moral and ethical; b) with the neutral use, as a verb, denoting an action or performance of an act. This last use was the one that had the greatest impact on the field of psychology. Its scope and dimensions were wide, having a central immutable idea, and a number of neighboring hypotheses in many ways in its different uses. The conclusion is to be defined in a necessa...

The study focuses on the theoretical approaches of proactive and prosocial behavior of Covey (1996), Xifra (2009) and Roche-Olivar (2004), with the objective of analyzing the significant differences in the decrease of critical incidents in public school students And private schools in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, for which two experimental workshops with quasiexperimental methodology were applied in three groups of 1st and 2nd high school students (G. Exp. (Proactivity) = 17; G. Exp. Prosociality) = 15; G. Control = 16); A behavior observation log and the PANIC instrument of Monereo and Monte (2011) were used. The results indicate significant differences with better effects in the workshop of proactive behavior (Hrp = 16.59, p <.05); A comparison of the verbal violence dimension in which better effects were obtained by the prosocial behavior workshop (Hrp = 14.12, p <.05...
