Decision making in mining is a complicated process. Decisions regarding the sizing and allocation of the fleet of trucks to different mines, considering the compliance with production and the total objective cost, are of paramount importance to mining companies as this directly affects their profits. This document presents a model of goal programming (based on linear programming) to optimize mining operations in underground mining taking into account three goals: (a) To minimize deviations from the target production of different minerals, (b) to minimize the surplus of the total designated operating cost and (c) to maximize the use of concentrator plants’ maximum capacity. To stay competitive, organizations need strategic and collaborative relationships with their supply chain. This research aims to design a method for supplier selection under a multi-sourcing environment. The proposed methodology combines the analytic hierarchy process and goal programming. The collaboration of the actors involved is essential for its application. The model selects the best combination of suppliers and the quantities to order from each one. It also allows systematizing the supplier selection process in accordance with the business strategy and competitive priorities.

The computer system for production planning determines what and how much to produce in order to achieve the goals set by clothing small and medium enterprises (SMEs); that is, to meet the demands on time and get the maximum benefit. Using a quantitative approach, a mathematical programming model for goal optimization and the Scrum framework were implemented in the study. In addition, MS Excel software was used for both the mathematical model and databases. The interfaces for data entry and reporting solution were developed in the Java SE platform. The computer system was installed in two SMEs: It increased productivity in both of them and was accepted for its ease of use and quick adaptation. The pandemic did not allow the installation of the computer system in other SMEs.

Objective: To determine the prospective scenario for nursing in the approach to sustainability in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals for the year 2030 from the perception of a group of nursing professionals in Mexico. Method: Prospective, cross-sectional study, with a census sample of (n=18) of the total number of students in a master's degree program in nursing sciences at a Mexican university. This research was aimed at determining to what extent factors prior to university admission, motivational factors, and institutional experiences explain the academic persistence of students in the University Leveling Term (CIU) at the Simon Bolivar University - Coastal Campus. An explanatory-type quantitative study was proposed, which involved a non-experimental cross-sectional retrospective causal relationship design. The sample consisted of 101 students (50.5% female) with an average age of 17.90 years (SD = 2.37). El presente documento se basa en la elaboración de un plan estratégico para el Programa Generación +1 que es parte de la empresa Libélula y que se llevará a cabo a partir del año 2015 al 2020.
