Deviation and structural critique, as features distinguishing literary language from normative language, are the most fundamental concepts in structuralism theory. In this century, structuralism is a scientific and common approach to evaluate the artistic characteristics of literary works. Geoffrey Leach, an English structuralist, classified literary features (deviations) in eight levels: (1) lexical, (2) grammatical, (3) phonological, (4) graph logical, (5) dialectical, (6) stylistic, (7) semantic, and (8) historical period. He distinguished these linguistic deviations from other deviations by using three features of position, direction, and conclusiveness. His model is generalizable to all languages, especially Persian. This paper explores the reorganization of security and coercive power in Peru in response to the needs of foreign owned mining companies in an environment of social protest and opposition. It begins with an analytical description of the domestic legal regime that structures security services in Peru. In this context, a case study of Forza is undertaken. Forza is one of Peru’s oldest and most powerful private security companies, recently purchased by a transnational security services corporation. Forza’s human rights record is explored through three on-going cases: the Majaz Case, the Grufides Case and the Business Track Case. These cases signal a deep interpenetration of the economic and political power of foreign-owned mining companies, Forza and the Peruvian justice system. The paper then analyzes the Forza case study in terms of the applicable systems of international and domestic...

In a context characterized by structural transformations and the credibility crisis of journalism, media accountability is of outmost importance. Focusing on the Spanish context, this article examines journalists’ and citizens’ perceptions of in-house accountability instruments. To do so, an online survey was administered to Spanish journalists, six citizen focus groups were established and 19 in-depth interviews were conducted with experts and representatives from professional associations.
