Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a widely used material in container manufacturing, particularly in bottle production. It is characterized by its low cost and widespread availability. However, its improper disposal has significantly exacerbated global plastic pollution. For instance, less than 50% of plastic bottles are recycled. Moreover, studies indicate that this issue has led to a significant accumulation of plastic waste in the oceans, which continues to grow annually and could be considered floating islands of debris. This study proposes replacing PET with polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable and biocompatible polymer with suitable properties for bottle production. The objective of this workshop is to analyze how the GeoGebra software can be used in the teaching-learning of the dynamic conception of the concept of limit for students of the Unified General Baccalaureate, the theoretical support of it constitutes the APOE theory of Dubinsky in what which refers to the genetic decomposition of the concept oflimit of a function. This research is qualitative at an exploratory-descriptive level, both a documentary bibliographical research and a field research were used, for which an instrument composed of five didactic tasks was developed that has multiple choice and completion questions, presented on the platform. Geogebra.org. One of the main results that is expected to be achieved is a greater understanding of the concept of limit through the graphic representation system compared to the other representation systems.

We employ a family of mixture innovation, time-varying parameter VAR models with stochastic volatility (TVP-VAR-SV) to analyze the impact of external shocks on Peru’s GDP growth, inflation, and interest rate from 1998Q1 to 2019Q4. Our key findings are as follows: (i) the model best fitting the data features time-varying parameters and variances with a certain likelihood; (ii) impulse-response functions reveal that a 1% increase in the growth rate of Peru’s major trading partners (China and the U.S.) leads to a domestic GDP growth expansion of 0.65% and 0.21%, respectively; (iii) the forecast error variance decomposition shows that external shocks account for 65% of the long-term variability in output, 65% in inflation, and 67% in the interest rate; (iv) historical decomposition indicates that external shocks account for 50% of domestic GDP growth, particularly from 2002 onward. This thesis is composed of two studies related to gender issues in economics. The first one explores whether companies experience benefits when the firm’s CEO and owner are both women. It employs data from the 2009-2014 World Bank Enterprise Surveys (WBES) to measure firms’ performance through growth in sales and productivity. Potential endogeneity was corrected by using the UN Gender Development Index and the average fertility rate as they comply with the exclusion restrictions. The paper uses the Control Function method with a Probit first stage estimation and an OLS main equation. The findings suggest that a female owner strengthens the female CEO’s business skills and leads to better firm performance than when the CEO is a woman and the owner is a man. Se describe la aplicación de un nuevo método para la completación de datos faltantes de precipitación diaria utilizando la “Transformada de Wavelets” (TW). Series completas de datos de precipitación diaria para los períodos 1999-2000, 2003-2004, 2004- 2005, seis estaciones meteorológicas del altiplano peruano fueron utilizadas en el análisis. El proceso consistió en la descomposición y reconstrucción de la señal, a dos niveles, usando el Wavelet Haar. In this investigation, the effect of the annealing time in an ASTM A536 nodular cast iron on the tensile strength, yield stress, ductility, hardness and microstructure was studied. For this reason, cylindrical bars with a diameter of 15 mm x 200 mm in length manufactured by the company Foundry to Laminate SAC - Lima were used. They were annealed at 880 ° C at times of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 hours with slow cooling (inside the furnace). The specimens were machined from the annealed bars, for the tensile test according to ASTM E8-98 and for the hardness test according to ASTM E-140. The experimental results show that the increase of the annealing time causes the tensile strength to decrease from 492.00 MPa for 5 hours to 312.00 MPa for 35 hours. Objective: To determine the contribution of international energy and food price shocks in Peru’s inflation during the period 2002-2022. Method: A structural autoregressive vector model (SVAR) was estimated following the reflection of Blanchard and Quah so that it reflected the behavior of a small and open economy such as Peru's. In addition, the Granger causality test, cumulative impulse-response functions, and variance decomposition were used to achieve the goal. Results: The oil, grain and fertilizer price shocks are weakly inflationary, while the ocean freight shocks are weakly deflationary. In addition, these shocks explain slightly the need for inflation. Una familia de modelos VAR con coeficientes cambiantes en el tiempo y mixtura en las innovaciones (TVP-VAR-SV) es utilizada para analizar el impacto de los choques externos sobre el producto, la inflación y la tasa de interés en el Perú, durante el periodo 1996Q2-2019Q3.
