The objective of this paper was to analyze, from the taxonomy of Ribes and López (1985), the contents of the teaching of mathematical fractions in basic education. Based on the expected learning proposed in the plans to work on fractions, in addition to doing a review of the book of mathematical challenges to know the exercises that students have to do when working with the topic of fractions. After the review, the contents were classified according to the functional taxonomy. Starting from the idea that mathematics should be worked from substitute levels, having its own conventional means of contact, it was intended to find activities that promote such level of functional detachment. As main results it was found that the activities that promote books are not according to the expected learning outlined in the plans and programs; in addition to the fact that the activities in the textboo...

This paper analyzes the information treatment of the Mapuche people in the newspaper El Mercurio during two periods. First, between 1950 and 1973 (twentieth century); and second, during the years 2010, 2013 and 2014, (21st century). To this end, a corpus of 340 journalistic texts has been selected, of which 147 correspond to the 20th century (1950-1970) and 193, to the 21st century (2010, 2013-2014). The analysis shows that most of the frames are linked to conflicts, criminal prosecutions and arson attacks; so that El Mercurio prioritizes connotations and negative events to inform about the Mapuche indigenous people.

One of the most important –and controversial– ways in which the legislator intervenes in standardized contracts (i.e., contracts with general contracting clauses and adhesion contracts) lies in the possibility for jurisdictional authorities to control their contractual content. The purpose of this intervention is to eliminate or substitute clauses effectively incorporated in them for being abusive or vexatious. This paper examines the discipline of content control provided by Article 1399 of the Civil Code, a rule that, despite having been unjustly relegated by national scholars, has enormous potential to achieve the protective purposes set by our Substantive Code, when correctly understood. On this occasion, we will first analyze the various legal rules contained in Article 1399, as well as their respective hypotheses and consequences. This analysis will be complemented by a practica...

The visual content in the coverage of COVID-19 in the digital editions of the most consumed Spanish scientific journals during this epidemiologicalcrisis is analyzed. The objectives are to analyze the presence, number, typology, hyperlink and authorship of the image in the informative pieces. The image (n= 549) is analyzed in the informative pieces published in muyinnteresante. es (n= 204) and nationalgeographic.com.es (N=85) from February 7 to May 14, 2020. A content analysis was chosen by previously established codes to identify the variables under study. It is established that the potential of the image is not used in the digital environment and proposals for improvement are made to optimize the potential of the image due to its importance as a source of knowledge in times of health crisis.

This work is a synthesis of the origins of these audiovisual regulatory authorities, analysing their regulatory functions and responsibilities regarding control of content. It also reflects on the actions taken by Audiovisual Control Boards as a result of their analysis of content and the problems arising from these analyses, along with their instruments of control: sanctions, recommendations, instructions…to conclude that free and independent societies need these boards to exist as a means of channelling their demands against the abuses of the media, and as elements that protect the most vulnerable sectors of those societies.

The purpose of this instrumental study was to show how to conduct an RStudio process to obtain a content validity visual representation through the alluvial function of the ggplot2 package to Condom Use Self-Efficacy Scale (This paper explains the stages to analyze content validity using a visual representation of an interrater agreement and item – factor belonging and focused mainly on qualitative aspects to evaluate the judge’s behavior and items’ weight. Furthermore, the paper discusses classical criteria to obtain content validity and its representation. The visual representation used shows high relevance to present the qualitative data associated with the content validity analysis since it allows to visualize in a differential way the weight of the dimensions in each item, the content validity coefficient in the set of dimensions, and the behavior of the judges in the overall ...

Purpose: The aim of this article is to establish a theoretical-methodological proposal to study discursive interactivity from a multidisciplinary perspective different from the traditional structural and quantitative media research. The sociological definition of interaction and the basis of discourse analysis –as a theoretical discipline and scientific method– are assumed to propose a concept of interactivity that addresses the double materiality of the term: as a structure and a process. Methodology: Grounded theory becomes a methodological strategy and is complemented by the bibliographic-documentary method and discourse analysis. By means of theoretical sampling, codification, constant comparison and theoretical saturation, a category is determined that emerges as central, for which the following are established: conceptual definition, dimensions, subcategories and indicators. Re...

The study of the complex ultracellular processes of nucleic acids is a subject debated as a scientific argument in favor of Intelligent Design (ID). The objective of this work was to analyze some molecular processes of the nucleic acids that suggest the confirmation of the ID theory, through the technique of documentary content analysis. First, the chemical structure of DNA and the combination of nitrogenous bases reflects that the genetic information of each created being is an original mixture of nitrogenous bases that makes each individual unique in the history of the world. Secondly, by studying the processes of DNA replication and repair, it is observed that each enzyme fulfills its function in a coordinated and organized manner avoiding the occurrence of errors and, should this occur, the cell has had very fine repair mechanisms. that correct these alterations in the best possible ...

Mineral composition modulates plant health, agro-morphological attributes, and functional quality in coffee, yet large-scale evaluations remain limited. In 150 Coffea arabica L. accessions, we quantified grain minerals (Ca, K, Mg, Na, P, Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn); resistance to coffee leaf miner (CLM), coffee berry borer (CBB), and coffee leaf rust (CLR); agro-morphological traits; bioactive compounds (phenolics, flavonoids, chlorogenic acid, trigonelline, caffeine); and antioxidant capacity (ABTS, DPPH, FRAP). Mn and Zn were associated with greater resistance to CBB and CLM, whereas P and Ca related with lower susceptibility to CLR; a P–Zn antagonism emerged as a critical nutritional axis. Phosphorus was linked to larger size and higher 100-bean mass; Ca and Mg to greater fruit number and fruit mass per plant; and Fe to improved filling and higher 100-bean mass in parchment coffee. For bioactiv...

Purpose: This study estimated total import demand elasticities concerning income, import prices and domestic prices. A high propensity to import constitutes a significant obstacle to economic growth in Mexico since the benefits of increased exports or any other aggregate demand expansion leak to the rest of the world. Design/methodology/approach: This paper estimated a Vector Error Correction Model of the total import demand elasticities concerning income, import prices and domestic prices. Total imports are a dependent variable, while Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and import and domestic prices are the independent variables. Findings: The principal finding is that an increase of 1 peso in the Mexican GDP leads to a rise of 0.50 pesos in Mexican imports; the elasticity of import demand for prices is low. Still, the elasticity of import demand for domestic prices is 2.14 times greater than...

The cocoa bean and its by-products are widely consumed in the world, due to their mineral content, functional compounds and antioxidant capacity, which vary according to how its processed. Fresh dried cocoa beans (FDB), dry fermented beans (FB) and cocoa paste (CP) were investigated, 31 samples in each case. Phosphorus, sodium, calcium, magnesium, copper, iron, zinc, manganese, cadmium lead, total polyphenols, anthocyanins, antioxidant capacity (ABTS, DPPH) expressed in Trolox equivalents (TE) were determined. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used. The mineral analysis established that 12 samples influenced CP1 and CP2. There was more calcium in the M26 sample of FDB, with 3.14%; potassium in the FDB, in M13, with 2.44%. Zinc in the FDB, was found in greater quantity in M30, M22, M23 and M9; with 90.46 ± 0.19 ppm in M30. Twenty-five samples reached values ≤ 0.61 ± 0.01 ppm of c...
