A neural network is a mathematical model that is able to perform a task automatically or semi-automatically after learning the human knowledge that we provided. Moreover, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is a type of neural network that has shown to efficiently learn tasks related to the area of image analysis, such as image segmentation, whose main purpose is to find regions or separable objects within an image. This paper aims at investigating the seismic fragility of confined masonry (CM) structures in Lima, Peru, which can be used to perform earthquake scenarios at urban scale. A database describing the geometric properties (walls density, building area, height) of this type of structure was developed using data from field surveys. This information was complemented with results from experimental tests to compute a large set of capacity curves using a mechanical procedure. These models were tested against a set of ground motion records using the displacement-based earthquake loss assessment (DBELA) procedure, and the structural responses were used to derive fragility functions for four building classes. The resulting fragility curves were convoluted with seismic hazard curves to evaluate the annualized expected loss ratio and annual collapse probability.

State Estimation is responsible for constructing a complete and reliable database, which will be used by other functions in an Energy Management System. Data redundancy is crucial for the success of state Estimation. With an adequate redundancy, State Estimation can detect, identify and suppress bad data. Besides, the quality/reliability of the estimated quantities is not affected in case of a temporary loss of measurements. Peri-implantitis (PI) is the inflammatory reaction of the peri-implant mucosa, accompanied by the progressive loss of supporting bone around the implant, which can compromise its stability, function and aesthetics. It is diagnosed by radiographic measurement of the alveolar bone level, with or without clinical symptoms of inflammation and a probing depth greater than 4 mm. The objective of this work was to review the scientific evidence on the prevalence, etiology, predisposing factors, clinical behavior and imaging characteristics of PI. An electronic search was carried out in Google Scholar, PubMed and Scielo, considering the period between 2010-2022, and a total of 40 articles were selected. Paraphrasing is the action of expressing the idea of a sentence using different words. Paraphrase generation is an interesting and challenging task due mainly to three reasons: (1) The nature of the text is discrete, (2) it is difficult to modify a sentence slightly without changing the meaning, and (3) there are no accurate automatic metrics to evaluate the quality of a paraphrase. This problem has been addressed with several methods. Even so, neural network-based approaches have been tackling this task recently. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo desarrollar una solución informática para mejorar el control de existencias del material educativo utilizado en las diversas actividades escolares en un colegio particular de la ciudad de Arequipa. El desarrollo de la solución siguió un proceso metodológico cuantitativo de diseño experimental, mediante la recolección de datos; como instrumentos se utilizó el cuestionario, entrevista y análisis documentario. El principal beneficio en la codificación e identificación del material educativo, se obtuvo una exactitud de 453 ítems registrados en biblioteca y 162 ítems registrados en equipos/material, con un promedio de 451 y 161 ítem. The purpose of this study was to translate the Bedtime Procrastination Scale (BPS) into Spanish and to evaluate its psychometric properties. A sample of 419 students from three Peruvian universities participated in the study. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to evaluate the original model of the scale, which initially showed poor fit indices. Improved fit indices were obtained after removing reverse-scored item, χ²(5) = 9.240, CFI = .998, RMSEA = .045, TLI = .997, and SRMR = .013. The internal consistency of the scale, examined using the omega coefficient, was found to be satisfactory (ω = .86). The research addresses the link between emotional dysregulation, nomophobia, and Instagram addiction in Chilean university students. A quantitative study of correlational scope was conducted with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 218 university students from south-central Chile, who answered the Difficulties in Emotional Regulation Scale (DERS-E), the Nomophobia questionnaire NMP-Q, the Berger Instagram Addiction Scale (BIAS) and reported some parameters of their Instagram account activity. The results account for multiple correlations between nomophobia and Instagram addiction with all dimensions of emotional dysregulation.
