Tree diversity plays a key role in mitigating climate change and enhancing ecosystem resilience. This study evaluated the contribution of trees across three habitats within the urban–rural gradient of Sucre, Bolivia: urban (UF), native (NF), and exotic (EF). Carbon sequestration, as well as taxonomic (TD), phylogenetic (PD), and functional (FD) diversity, were analyzed in relation to bioclimatic (temperature and precipitation) and geographic (altitude) factors. The methodology included the recording of botanical and ecological traits, along with the measurement of dendrometric classes (DBH ≥ 10 cm) in 12 temporary circular plots per habitat. The Rietveld refinement method has taken high relevance since its creation. Nowadays, it is an useful tool in many fields of industry, materials science, and technology. The growth of the Peruvian migration to Buenos Aires is a phenomenon highlighted in the last decades. From a gender perspective, the configuration of the nets is studied in the pre-migration stage, as well as its later composition and distribution in Argentina. Secondary sources are used, but the main contribution comes given by the «Peruvian Migration and Gender Survey» (EMIGE 2007). Main results: it is the migratory flow with smaller antiquity in Argentina. In a high proportion, they concentrate on the City of Buenos Aires and they constitute the foreign population with bigger pre-eminence of women and the less aged one. This research project entitled "Use of Lepidoptera as biomarkers for the diagnosis of ecosystem Microcuenca Shilcayo" was run along the watershed; whose objective was to collect and evaluate three lepidopteran sample units to be used as biomarkers for the respective diagnosis while mapping spatial distribution function of ecosystem types studied. Evaluations were carried out from July 2007 to January of this year; due to inclement weather occurred. We evaluate the performance of an Omnivision OV5647 CMOS image sensor (5 Mp) for detecting radiation from Sr90 and Cs137 sources. Our experimental setup uses a Raspberry Pi 3 mini-computer for data acquisition, with image processing using Python and OpenCV libraries. We specify the necessary settings to convert a standard camera into a particle detector sensitive to electrons and photons, including a two-step background filtering procedure. In addition, we implement the first detailed Geant4 simulation that describes the layered geometry and material composition of a commercial CMOS sensor along with the radioactive sources. The experiments were carried with two steels with different chemical compositions, aiming at understanding and comparison with the available literature. The microstructures of steels 1045 and 4340 were characterized and quantified using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and optic microscopy (OM) with quantitative methods. Based on the experimental results, the amount of martensite, the hardness and the microhardness were determined, as a function of the distance from the quenching end, under different cooling conditions. The aguajales represent one of the ecosystems with the highest environmental and socioeconomic value in the Loreto region, where the predominant species is Mauritia flexuosa L.f. "aguaje". The growing demand for aguaje fruits in Amazonian cities has been generating an impact on the aguajales because of the destructive methods to harvest the fruit. The objective of the research was to determine the impact of the cutting of female palms in the floristic composition, diversity and functional traits of natural regeneration in aguajales. The sequence of a comprehensive oral rehabilitation is described in a patient with generalized loss of tooth structure, highlighting the importance of restoring stomatognathic system function through a multidisciplinary approach. The patient was a 57-year-old woman diagnosed with occlusal disharmony, generalized attrition due to parafunction, mild dental crowding, defective restorations, carious lesions, and partial mandibular edentulism. The interpretation of biological communities as complex adaptive systems aims to demonstrate their ecological patterns at different scales and their environmental relationships. In this survey, we analyzed species diversity and alternative stable states patterns of the bird community in an Andean agroecosystem located on the central-western slope of the Peruvian Andes (Cajatambo District, Lima - Peru), on a temporal and spatio-temporal scale. We evaluated their bird community through 24 line transects, located in seven plant formations along two ecoregions, between 2 700 and 4 600 masl, during the dry and rainy seasons of 2015 and 2016. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la variación de la composición de la comunidad y de los grupos funcionales alimenticios de macroinvertebrados bentónicos causada por los factores ambientales en tres sectores de la cuenca del río Chillón. Se establecieron nueve puntos de muestreo ubicados a lo largo del río para medir los factores ambientales (pH, sólidos totales disueltos, temperatura, caudal, conductividad eléctrica, radiación UV-B y oxígeno disuelto) y realizar la colecta de los macroinvertebrados durante las épocas húmeda (abril 2019) y seca (noviembre 2020). El estudio propone la implementación de un sistema de terapia móvil potenciado por IA para personas con trastornos de sonidos del habla en Trujillo (2025). Se parte de una ingeniería de requerimientos y se desarrolla un PWA instalable (Chrome/Edge) con ASR (es-PE, fallback es-ES), cálculo de inteligibilidad (1−WER), precisión articulatoria compuesta y fluidez (ppm), además de feedback inmediato, historial, dashboard y exportación/importación CSV. El diseño metodológico es pre–post pareado (n=10; ≈30 días de uso).
