Abstract: The International Convention on the Rights of the Child establishes their right to participate in all matters affecting them. Alongside, there is the widely studied phenomenon of secondary victimization (SV)in criminal justice. This article critically analyses the existence of SV in the context of family courts. In a qualitative study, the opinions of judges (n = 10), lawyers (n = 10) and children (n = 6) regarding child participation in family cases are explored. The analysis of the data provided by the interviews of judges and lawyers was made based on ten dimensions of analysis; and, in addition, the dogmatic method was used, with the description and comparative and critical analysis of the law, which was confronted with the aspects collected in the empirical work. On February 27, 2010 an earthquake of magnitude 8.8 Mw (according to USGS) shook the center-southern region of Chile with a balance of more than 500 deaths. As a coseismic effect, a tsunami was generated which destroyed many coastal villages, as well as the permanent crustal deformation. This coseismic deformation can be quantified by geodetic measurements: GPS, field observations at the littoral and InSAR satellite interferometry data. From the analysis and processing of the geodetic data it is possible to obtain the parameters that characterize the distribution of the seismic source through an inversion process, in which the simulated data is compared with the observed data using the non-negative least squares method. Given the importance of the Chilean dried-fruit market and the characteristics of the industrial process of dehydration, it becomes imperative for companies to measure the efficiency of their production processes in order to identify critical areas and take the necessary actions to improve them. Hence, the present work performs an efficiency analysis for the production of dried apples in a plant of the Maule region, Chile. The methodology used is Data Envelopment Analysis, considering both discretionary and non-discretionary variables. The results indicate that the application of the model without non-discretionary variables shows higher efficiency indices than the model with non-discretionary variables. In this paper, we propose a novel Superimposed Training (ST) technique for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems, where data and training signals are divided in orthogonal code domains in order to mitigate the interference between them. The data signal is partitioned into disjoint bins, which are spread using orthogonal codes and multiplexed in code domain. Then, the new data signal is added to the spread training signal. This novel proposal, named Spread Spectrum Orthogonalization (SSO), exploits these properties to outperform conventional schemes in terms of channel estimation reliability and symbol detection performance, with a lower complexity. Moreover, it turns out to be robust against narrowband interferences.

El objetivo del estudio fue analizar las operaciones del faenamiento que afectan el bienestar animal en los mataderos de la Región del Bío-Bío. Estos se identificaron como Matadero 1, 2, 3 y 4. Los datos se obtuvieron mediante una solicitud al portal “Chile Transparente” del Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero. Los datos fueron proporcionados en hojas de cálculo de Microsoft Excel® para su posterior análisis y discusión. La información se clasificó en dos áreas, interna y externa. Dentro del área interna, se trabajó con un registro de 3219 bovinos, evaluándose la sensibilización, sangrado, tiempo entre ellos y si se observaron signos de sensibilidad. In Chile, the approach towards the past is directly associated to the shapes taken by the diverse recounts of the dictatorial past. In particular, regarding the conversion of sites, where horror took place, into places of memory. Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) images were analyzed to identify volcanic and structural features and hydrothermally altered rocks in the Neogene-Quaternary volcanic field near Berenguela, western Bolivia, Esperanza, in the Maricurga district of northern Chile, and in the vicinity of the Orcopampa mine in 1 southem Peru. These areas were being investigated for the presence of epithermal precious-metal deposits. Four TM image quadrants were processed for each country, and the resulting enhanced black-and-white single-band images, false-color composite (FCC) images, and color-ratio composite 1 (CRC) images were printed at either 1:200,000- or 1:250,000-scale. Since this lexical unit has undergone grammaticalization as a quantifier in Old Spanish, the study aims to delve into certain historical trends that better illustrate its progression in the processes of grammaticalization and constructionalization.
