This paper discusses the Hawkes process to modeling of the offering book, especially the ETF it iShare Ibovespa index fund. The study aimed to investigate the dynamics of the influences of the offers in relation to the past orders. We study too to the interaction of the order rates of the opposing sides of the Book. Another point addressed is the verification of the operating strategy that captures the dynamics studied. At the first moment, the univariate approach was performed and in the second moment the multivariate of the Hawkes process. The results show that in both cases the Hawkes process it fits well to the data. The fit model indicates that agents have similar behaviors when they act as buyers or sellers of assets. As for the strategy, it was not possible to establish spare gains from changes in bid rates. However, these results are due to the it bid-ask spread more that the pre...

This study investigated how advertisers from the creation area of large advertising agencies perceive and characterize their creative process. Thirteen Brazilian professionals were interviewed using semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed by content analysis. Results indicate that several stages of the creative process overlap, such as the incubation period of one job functioning as the preparation for the next. Motivating factors include pleasure of the act of creating, media visibility and its social reach. This study analyzes the psychometric structure of the CAPE- R scale, which assesses the beliefs about the educational process in rural teachers; explores the teacher´s profile, and analyzes the significant differences between the beliefs according to sociodemographic variables. The sample included 150 rural teachers from Mendoza, Argentina. The exploratory factor analysis yielded a factorial structure made up of four factors that explained a 44.19% of the variance of responses to the test. Internal consistency coefficients ranged from .74 to .85. The data show a predominance of difficulties in the educational process dimension (M=2.83; DE=.69), the only dimension that reached a significant association with the educational level of the classes (F =4.77, p<.05).

The main aim of this exploratory and pre-experimental study is to establish the variations in the distribution of visual attention of translators in training during a reading task with Specialized Extensive Nominal Phrases (hereinafter SNEE). To achieve this goal, a case study was conducted with four translators in training who had to read 10 contexts of a Human Genome corpus that contains SNEE of three and five tokens. Data collection was performed through the eye movement technique and a Likert scale-type questionnaire. The results of this study showed that the distribution of the visual attention of the translators in training presented variations according to the length of the SNEE. Longer time and number of fixations were observed in the SNEE of five tokens in contrast to the SNEE of three tokens. Likewise, the length variable is a factor that affects visual attention during the p...

This article presents an experience carried out by the faculty of the third year of the Infant Education degree at the Ramon Llull University in Barcelona (Spain). A proposal for multidisciplinary intervention that joins two modules: one for arts (musical, corporal, visual, and plastic education) and another for sciences (mathematics, and experimental and social sciences). The intervention stems from a generating idea—the book “Alice in Wonderland”—which allows for connections between the contents of the modules, involves co-teaching, multidisciplinary work, and shared evaluation experiences. The aim of the study is to get to know the perception of the participating faculty about the changes in the didactic components involved in the experience. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were carried out at three moments of the process and a discussion group at the end. The ...

Collaborative writing is a complex task that involves diverse regulatory processes. In this case study we address the resolution of Problem-Based Learning through a report written collaboratively. Ten students from the Human Biology degree and their tutor took part. We collected data inside the classroom (the writing assignment, the assessment rubric, and audio recordings of 3 tutorials) and data outside the classroom (screen recordings of the students’ activity on their computers, the team’s WhatsApp group conversation, the final text of the written work, a focus group recording and the evaluative comments of the marking teachers). The results indicate that the processes of self-regulation and socially shared regulation are the most developed. Participants demonstrate control and autonomy in carrying out individual and group activities. On the other hand, co-regulation is less frequ...

The Feminist HCI is characterized as the integration of feminist theory into HCI practice, which can occur at all stages of the design process, including user research, prototyping and evaluation. However, there is still a research gap on the integration of feminism with established HCI methods. An HCI methodology that is also concerned with human values and the possible consequences of technological artifacts is Value Sensitive Design (DSV). The present work seeks to answer how to include Feminism HCI in the HCI Project with the VSD. This research took place in the context of ELLAS Project, an Open Data platform that aims to contribute to the reduction of the gender difference in STEM in Brazil, Peru and Bolivia.

The certification of labor competencies in Mexico promotes the evidence of performance by those who perform specific functions, showing the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, regardless of the way in which they have perfected them. In this regard, a qualitative data analysis research was developed to recognize and establish relationships, interpret, extract meanings and conclusions about the competency standard EC1319, “Conference Interpretation of Mexican Sign Language <> Spanish”. Categories are built describing the patents to be demonstrated by the candidate, in which through defined exercises they recognize their knowledge, attitudes, abilities and skills of those who master Mexican Sign Language, who in correspondence with the correct use of oral and written Spanish, possess the conditions to confirm the purposes of each validation element. The objective of this study: to know the way in which the development of communicative competence was promoted in Mexican high school students via remote education in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Research was qualitative and ethnographic. Sample: twenty students from four different high schools, from a public university in the northeastern of Mexico. Data collection was through semi-structured interviews and non-participant observations. Among the most relevant results, it was found that, even when teachers promoted communicative conditions for academic interaction, students did not want to do so; there was confusion in the remote classrooms regarding the correct alignment of the teaching and learning processes, which could have caused problems for students and teachers. It was concluded that educational training in special situations requires different preparation of teachers a...
