I intend reviewing, in the first place, the contributions to some aspects of the realism issue's discussion coming from some important representatives of the so-called "analytic philosophy". With this in view, I intend to show that Austin's conceptual framework, beyond its elucidating power, excludes main aspects of the aforementioned use. In the second place, starting from some of Moore's contentions, we offer an elucidation of the meaning of the expression ''this is real" in terms of "this may be sought and found". Finally, we project this strategy to clarify the sense and scope of realism's declared independence dimension.

In this article, we defend the existence of disagreements in areas of discourse that involve anagent’s perspective, as the semantic theory known as “Radical Relativism” putsit. In the face of the idea that such disagreements exist and can only be explainedby a radical relativist semantics, contextualist theorists have offered arguments to deny their existence or to provide an explanation of them which does not imply departing from the standard semantic theory. These arguments will be our targetof criticism. We raise the debate in terms of the distinction between semantic andpragmatic aspects of disagreement, and we defend a simple vision of disagreement, which we believe the relativist must have in mind if he wants to argue that disagreements belonging to areas that involve an agent’s perspective can count as evidence in his favor.

This paper assesses Tarski's semantical conception of truth as well as his semanticaldefinition of truth. This done, two arguments in their favour and two against themare articulated. Finally, it is concluded that Tarski's semantical conception of truth hassorne similarities with the deflationary theory of truth, the most relevant of which isthat both theories give considerable importance to sorne versions of the T-scheme.

This paper is a descriptive-explanatory investigation of Peruvian seafood lexicons. This article has two objectives: the first is to select and record the semantic features that make up the immanent and manifested meaning of Peruvian seafood lexicons; the second is to rank the lexicons according to semantic inclusion relations based on lexical fields. To do this, we use a descriptive structuralist methodology where we select and register a corpus of 30 names of Peruvian seafood extracted from Peruvian recipe books and gastronomic dictionaries and then group and describe them in minimal pairs that allow us to select the similar and differentiating semantic features; we also hierarchise the lexical fields found to account for the semantic relations of inclusion. In this way, we are able to determine the semantic features that allow us to transfer lexemes from a common language to a special...

In the present article, I propose some initial topics for the typological-comparative study of semantic parallelism, which also serve as an analytical axis to study semantic parallelism in traditional kakataibo chants. These basic topics are the structure of the cotext, lexical and grammatical type of parallel units, type of semantic relations between parallel units, number of parallel units per pair of lines, and associated phenomena such as recurrent or fixed pairing and diphrasism. Following this initial proposal, I postulate that the cotext in Kakataibo semantic parallelism is a repeated morphosyntactic structure that does not exhibit ellipsis or increasing, the number of parallel units can be one to three slots and one pair is more productive, parallel units are related by semantic fields such as kinship terms and colors. Furthermore, I analyze the interaction of semantic parallelis...

This essay aims to identify the scriptural and semantic variations and linguistic processes in the morphosyntax of the terms quniraya, kumirraya, kuniraya, quñiraya, quniraya, -iraya. Corpora concerning quniraya were identified in Hispanic chronicles, 16th-century colonial dictionaries, and both historical and contemporary documents, which were then organized and compared to examine the writing, the processes that occurred within the word, and ultimately to determine its semantics. For this purpose, a textual record was utilized. After identification, the processes were analyzed and explained to verify phenomena such as syncope, fricativization, velarization, palatalization, suppression, apheresis, and pronunciation, among others. From these explanations, it can be concluded that these processes led to the loss of the word's sememe, but reconstructing the morphosyntactic structure and t...

Natural Semantic Networks, as methodological tools, allow us to recover an understand the meanings that certain groups have with respect to a given social object. In this sense, teachers are the study population in topics that became relevant in the face of the ravages caused by the pandemic on emotional well-being, such as the importance of developing and putting into practice socio-emotional skills in the different areas where it is developed. The purpose of this document is to carry out a systematic descriptive theoretical review, from 1981 to 2022, of original studies carried out in Latin América, with a qualitative approach, on the relevance of Natural Semantic Networks as a methodological strategy to approach the meaning that teachers of socioemotional competencies. It is concluded that, until now, the use of Natural Semantic Networks does not exist to recover meanings of socio-em...

In this paper we attack horn 2 of the Jørgensen’s dilemma (prohibitive thesis), so we enforce horn1 (permissive thesis). Also, we explore partially the idea of a syntactical solution for a logic of imperatives based on the fact of the lack of truth value of imperatives.

In this research work, there is a semantic description of the use of euphemisms in the oral discourses of Intercultural Bilingual Education (EIB). The aim of this study is to explain the euphemistic expressions used in EIB discourses in Peru on the basis of conceptual metaphors involving euphemisms. For this purpose, a methodology related to cognitive linguistics is used to explain the meanings associated with these expressions. This analysis is qualitative and was carried out on the basis of data extracted from videos on IBE in Peru published on YouTube. From the sample obtained, it was possible to confirm that euphemisms increase the idea of belonging to a native community, emphasizing its own nature.

This research presents findings based on a study conducted among 84 university students in the field of life sciences. The study employed the methodology of natural semantic networks to explore the social construction of climate change. The results identified 70 words that are iconic representations of climate change. These words were ranked based on the frequency of their use by the university students, with the top five being alteration of rainfall, changes in flora and fauna, water scarcity, climatic variability, and the hole in the ozone layer. Together, these words accounted for 34.6% of the opinions obtained. The analysis also revealed that there was only a 6.25% difference in the semantic construct developed by men and women. Overall, the study highlights the potential of semantic networks as a tool for understanding how scientific and social representations of climate change...

The aim of the study was to analyze the semantics in the factual interpretation of the concept of approximate truth of the bioecotoximonitor. The transformation of the biomonitor to the quality of bioecotoximonitor was considered for analysis, along with the monist, pluralist, and instrumentalist distinction during bioassessment with the bioecotoximonitor. Five criteria were indicated: environmental conditions, data interpretation, interpretation consistency, environmental variability impact, and applicability in bioassessment. The factual interpretation of the bioecotoximonitor, through five criteria, evaluates the understanding of truth in environmental systems. It emphasizes the importance of considering environmental conditions and flexible data interpretation. The structured criteria address from collection to practical application in environmental management, ensuring the relevance...

This paper studies the resemantization and meaning determination of the Quechua terms chaka, chakana and chakata. The research focuses on the explanation of the morphological structure. In the procedure we start from the work of the Lexicon of 1560 where we find the term chakata with the meaning of cross. The philological-hermeneutic method and the use of Quechua dictionaries were chosen for the work. As a result of the analysis, the term chakata has chaka as lexeme, which indicates the base element that makes «X» elements cross. Chakana would be the object with which the entities are crossed. Finally, the word chakata, agglutinates the suffix -ta with meaning ‘inter’ or ‘between’, being the word as a whole chakatay ‘to cross’. In conclusion, chakata would mean ‘inter-cross-’; in a philosophical sense, it forms the basis that intertwines, «X» elements within nature an...
