ABSTRACT The great biodiversity that exists in Peru and its climate, produce a sort of natural greenhouse that allow the development of various indigenous agricultural crops interesting for the international market, many of which have already achieved position and some are missing to do so. Peru is a world exporter of protein and nutritional species; however another segment of great potential is that of fibrous plants, which are found in the valleys of the coast, altitudes of the Andes and the Amazon rainforest; being the third largest country in South America, Peru has 7.6 million hectares with agricultural potential, of which 4 million remain to be developed by FAO. The present investigation has like title "Influence of the mercerizados chemical treatments trimetoxisilanes and maleic anhydride, on the thermal stability of the linen fibers", with the main objective to evaluate the influence of the products: mercetizado, trimethoxysilanes and maleic anhydride, on the thermal fiber of flax. The line fibers were extracted manually. Fiber chemical treatments were carried out, such as mercerizing at 15% NaOH, 0.4% w / v silane and 5% maleic anhydride. After the treatments, the TGA analysis, the humidity and the chemical composition of the flax fibers were carried out. In the case of humidity, a maximum percentage of 11.77% and a minimum of 6.70% were obtained for the anhydride treatment respectively. En el presente trabajo, se investigó el efecto de la presión de infiltración del proceso de moldeo por transferencia de resina (RTM), sobre la resistencia máxima a la tracción en laminados de matriz poliéster reforzada con fibra de vidrio E corta y al azar, los valores de presión de infiltración evaluados fueron de 30,45,60,75 y 90 psi, para el proceso de RTM se adaptó una compresora de aire de 2 HP de potencia, los laminados obtenidos mediante los procesos mencionados fueron de 30 * 15 cm de largo y ancho; el espesor estuvo determinado por el espesor del molde en el caso de RTM fue de 3 mm aproximadamente. In the present investigation, the influence of the proportion of jute fiber: glass fiber and surface treatment on the tensile strength of a polyester matrix composite material, manufactured by the compression method, was evaluated. The proportion of jute fiber: fiberglass used in the evaluation were 1: 1; 2: 1; 3: 1; 4: 1; In addition, natural fibers were worked on long fibers, for synthetic fibers (fiberglass) they were woven bidirectionally; and analyzed the influence they have when the natural fibers are subjected to a surface treatment of mercerization, which was worked at two percentages of NaOH, 5% and 10%. ABSTRACT This work evaluated the influence of the concentration of NaOH (100, 200 and 300 g/L NaOH) in the mercerization process at 25 °C for 1 h, and of the percentage (15, 20 and 25% m/m) of Mauritia flexuosa fibers on impact resistance in a polyester matrix composite. The polyester matrix composite was obtained by the compression molding process, at a constant pressure of 24 MPa. The obtained plates had a dimension of 130 mm long x 80 mm wide x 3.4 mm thick. Specimens for the impact assay were extracted from the obtained plates under the EN ISO 179-1 standard.
