La muestra está conformada por 52 alumnos, entre varones y mujeres que cursan el cuarto año del nivel secundario. Para la recolección de los datos se empleó la Escala de Autoestima de Coopersmith versión escolar, este instrumento psicométrico mide diferentes áreas de la autoestima (Si mismo, social, escolar y hogar). Los resultados indicaron que el 51.9% de los estudiantes presentaron un nivel promedio alto de autoestima, el 30.8% presentaron un nivel alto, el 13.5% presentaron un nivel promedio bajo, y el 3.8% presentaron un nivel bajo de autoestima. Por lo tanto, se concluye del estudio que más de la mitad de los estudiantes del 4to grado de secundaria presenta un nivel promedio alto de autoestima.

The research obtained the non-experimental basic type methodology and descriptive cross-sectional design. The sample is made up of 52 students, between men and women who are in the fourth year of secondary level. For data collection, the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Scale, school version, was used. This psychometric instrument measures different areas of self-esteem (self, social, school, and home). The results indicated that 51.9% of the students presented a high average level of self-esteem, 30.8% presented a high level, 13.5% presented a low average level, and 3.8% presented a low level. low self-esteem.
