Usando la prueba de correlación de Pearson y Spearman, los resultados indicaron que existe una correlación inversa significativa a un nivel de significancia de -0,069 entre el Ajuste Diádico y la Dependencia Emocional. Se obtuvieron niveles bajos para las dimensiones Satisfacción, Cohesión y Expresión de afecto. También para los factores de Ansiedad ante la separación, Expresión afectiva de la pareja, Modificación de planes, Expresión límite y Búsqueda de atención se obtuvieron niveles medios. A su vez se obtuvo correlaciones inversas no significativas con las dimensiones de consenso, satisfacción y cohesión. Es así que los resultados revelan que a menor grado de Dependencia Emocional dentro de la relación de pareja, ésta tendrá como resultado un mayor nivel de Ajuste Diádico. The sample obtained was 160 married couples from Trujillo. For the investigation, the Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS) was used to measure the level of Dyadic Adjustment and the Emotional Dependency Questionnaire (CDE), to measure the level of Emotional Dependence in the sample. Using the Pearson and Spearman correlation test, the results indicated that there is a significant inverse correlation at a significance level of -0.069 between the Dyadic Adjustment and the Emotional Dependency. The dimensions of Satisfaction, Cohesion and Expression of affection had a low level. Also for the Factors of Anxiety before the separation, affective Expression of the couple, Modification of plans, Limit Expression and Search of attention had an average level. Also, non-significant inverse correlations were obtained for the dimensions of consensus, satisfaction and cohesion. The results reveal that if the couple relationship shows a lower degree of Emotional Dependence, them it will have a higher level of Dyadic Adjustment.
