description El papel del intérprete ha sido objeto de estudio en numerosas ocasiones; sin embargo, no se ha abordado su papel y función en el entorno televisivo, específicamente en los programas de telerrealidad. Por lo general, la mayoría de investigaciones se han centrado en programas de noticias y entrevistas en vivo que cuentan con la participación de intérpretes (en algunos casos presentes en las escenas). Por ese motivo, el presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objeto de estudio dos programas de telerrealidad: Tidying Up with Marie Kondo y The Final Table pues cuentan con intérpretes como parte del elenco actoral. Este estudio, basado en un análisis multimodal de componentes visuales y auditivos, analiza la funcionalidad y representación del intérprete en la telerrealidad. La metodología del presente trabajo es cualitativa y ambos objetos de estudio se analizarán como casos de estudio independientes.

However, the role and function of the interpreter in television, specifically in reality television shows, has not been addressed. Most studies have focused on news programmes and live interviews that include interpreters (in some cases, these interpreters appear in the scenes). Therefore, this research has two reality television shows as subjects of study: Tidying Up with Marie Kondo and The Final Table. Both of them have interpreters as part of the cast. This study, based on a multimodal analysis of auditive and visual components, analyses the representation and role of the interpreter in reality television.
