La idea de negocio se apoya en la creciente y sostenible tendencia global de consumo de comida saludable y atiende el gran problema de la obesidad y mal nutrición infantil. Es alarmante que la Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS) informe que el Perú es el país de América en donde la obesidad infantil creció más rápido en los últimos años. En nuestro país casi dos millones y medio de niños menores de 5 años sufre de sobrepeso y obesidad, principalmente en áreas urbanas. En el 2018, el sobrepeso y la obesidad en niños entre 5 y 9 años llegó al 24.6% de esa población; mientras que entre niños de 0 a 5 años la obesidad y el sobrepeso afectaban al 7.6% de esa población: 1 de cada 10 pequeños ya tiene un problema de peso. Esto es de esperarse dado que el 53.8% de la población en el Perú sufre de exceso de grasa corporal, alcanzado el tercer lugar en sobrepeso y obesidad en la región. Por todo lo mencionado anteriormente, queremos atender esta necesidad del mercado, enfocándonos un consumidor que busca alimentos ricos, saludables y con una cultura amigables con el medio ambiente.

The business idea is based on the growing and sustainable global trend of healthy food consumption and addresses the major problem of obesity and poor child nutrition. It is alarming that the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) reports that Peru is the country in America where childhood obesity has grown faster in recent years. In our country, almost two and a half million children under 5 years old suffer from overweight and obesity, mainly in urban areas. In 2018, overweight and obesity in children between 5 and 9 years old reached 24.6% of that population; while among children aged 0 to 5 years, obesity and overweight affected 7.6% of this population: 1 in 10 children already has a weight problem. This is to be expected given that 53.8% of the population in Peru suffers from excess body fat, reaching third place in overweight and obesity in the region.
