Esta investigacion tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre Soledad y Adiccion a Redes Sociales en 146 universitarios limeños (109 mujeres, 37 varones) de 18 a 30 años. El diseño es correlacional y de tipo no probabilístico de bola de nieve. Se aplicaron las escalas De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale y el cuestionario de Adicción a Redes Sociales (ARS). Se encontró correlaciones positivas siendo Soledad y Obsesión por las Redes las que se relacionan con mayor fuerza, mientras que el total de ARS, falta de control y uso excesivo tienen menor magnitud. Así mismo, se encontraron diferencias significativas, pero de magnitud baja entre las puntuaciones comparadas por género. Además, las personas que usan redes sociales cinco o más horas diarias presentan mayor soledad.

Además, las personas que usan redes sociales cinco o más horas diarias presentan mayor soledad.The COVID-19 generated anxiety, sadness and loneliness among people owing to the mandatory social isolation, increasing virtuality and the use of social networks. This research aims to determine the relationship between Loneliness and Social Network Addiction among 146 university students (109 women, 37 men) aged 18 to 30 years. The research design is correlational and non-probability snowball sampling type. The De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale and The Social Network Addiction Questionnaire (SNA) were applied. Positive correlations were found, being Loneliness and Network Obsession the most strongly related to each other, while the total of SNA, lack of control and excessive use have a lower magnitude. Furthermore, significant differences were found between the scores compared by gender; however, they were of low magnitude.
