Dicho análisis se enfocó en destacar las oportunidades y desafíos del ingeniero industrial en materias de seguridad y salud ocupacional, diseño de puestos de trabajo, gestión ambiental y en la aplicación de tecnologías de la información. En ese sentido, se pudo concluir que el ingeniero industrial posee las aptitudes y competencias necesarias para ser partícipe de la recuperación económica de todo tipo de empresa, supervisar el cumplimiento de los protocolos sanitarios, rediseñar los puestos de trabajos con alto riesgo de contagio, minimizar el impacto ambiental de la industria que retoma sus operaciones y fomentar la transformación digital que facilite el trabajo a distancia.

At the same time, a reflective analysis was developed on the role of the industrial engineer in the deconfinement and post-pandemic economic reactivation stage. This analysis focused on highlighting the opportunities and challenges for the industrial engineer in the fields of safety and occupational health, job design, environmental management, and the application of information technologies.
