Sumario:This research was purpose establish whether there are differences in the level of metalinguistic skills for reading in children who studied Kindergarden in educational institutions and Programas No Escolarizados de Educacion Inicial (PRONOEI) from RED Mi Peru in Ventanilla. The sample was formed by a group of 70 children studied classroom 5 three State institutions and a group of 50 children of PRONOEI three modules. To measure the metalinguistic skills for reading it I use Test THM Gómez and Valero. To make the comparison of both groups are the results confirm that if there are differences significant. It was also observed to 37.5% of children studying in schools ranked in the middle tier in the test compared to 15% of children studying in PRONOEI.
