| Sumario: | The present investigation aimed to determine the relationship between of the parental educational styles and the self esteem. The type of study is descriptive research design is correlational. The sample consisted of 100 students from fifth grade of a public educational institution of Callao. The parental educational styles were assessed with the Perceive parental competence scale version of children, whose authors are Agustín Bayot Mestre, Hernandez Viadel, Hervias Arquero, Sanchez Rubio, Velarde Martinez and the self esteem with the Self esteem scale whose author is Eagly. While performing the correlation analysis it was found a significant relationship between the dimensions of the parental educational styles and the self esteem. |
