El tema de la tesis se centra en la arquitectura residencial y comercial, pues se reconoce un gran potencial para recuperar la zona monumental del Rímac e integrarla a las nuevas dinámicas de la ciudad, se busca que el centro histórico sea un asentamiento humano vivo, donde no solo sean fachadas y casas históricas, sino que se generen espacios habitables donde se promueva una interacción social e integración formal y volumétrica con la zona histórica del distrito. El proyecto busca reinterpretar la idea de la vivienda multifamiliar en el Centro Histórico, específicamente de la quinta y el callejón, teniendo en cuenta las nuevas necesidades del usuario
