Se considerará como muestra a 180 pacientes. La variable dependiente será las varices esofágicas mientras que la variable independiente serán los predictores ecográficos (diámetro del bazo >140mm, diámetro de la vena esplénica ≥8.5mm, diámetro de la vena porta >10.4mm e índice espleno-portal positivo >5cm/seg). Para comparar las variables ecográficas entre casos y controles, se utilizará la prueba de chi-cuadrado para variables categóricas y cálculo de la Odds Ratio (OR), también se realizará un modelo de regresión logística
