description El propósito principal del estudio fue identificar la relación entre la comunicación terapéutica, con la percepción del cuidado humanizado en padres de prematuros de la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales en el Hospital II-2 Tarapoto, 2023. La metodología empleada fue de tipo básica, nivel descriptivo – correlacional; no experimental y de corte transversal, la muestra estuvo conformada por 225 padres de recién nacidos hospitalizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales (UCIN). La técnica fue la encuesta, y se aplicaron el cuestionario de comunicación terapéutica y la escala Thora Kron. Los resultados mostraron que el nivel de comunicación terapéutica fue adecuado con 43,1% y el nivel de percepción de los padres sobre el cuidado humanizado fue favorable en 56,9%. Conclusión: Existe relación significativa entre la comunicación terapéutica y la percepción del cuidado humanizado (p ≤ 0,05), permitiendo corroborar la hipótesis planteada por la investigadora.

The methodology used was basic, descriptive-correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 225 parents of newborns hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The technique used was the survey, and the therapeutic communication questionnaire and the Thora Kron scale were applied. The results showed that the level of therapeutic communication was adequate at 43.1% and the level of parental perception of humanized care was favorable at 56.9%.
