Con el objetivo de determinar la efectividad y adherencia de métodos anticonceptivos de larga duración, mujeres en edad fértil del Centro de Salud San Martin, Trujillo, 2023, se realizó una investigación retrospectiva, observacional no experimental ya que se analizó la efectividad y adherencia de las LARC: La muestra estuvo compuesta por 127 mujeres. Resultados: El grupo más predominante, con el 44%, corresponde a mujeres entre 30 y 35 años, el 19% corresponde a mujeres mayores de 35 años. Las mujeres primíparas representan el 50%, el 15% pertenece a multíparas. De las 127 mujeres encuestadas, el 54% optó por el implante subdérmico, mientras que el 46% eligió el dispositivo intrauterino (DIU). Se puede apreciar que el 97% de las usuarias del DIU no reportaron embarazo, mientras que el 3% sí lo experimentó. Por otro lado, el implante demostró una efectividad del 100%, ya que ninguna de sus usuarias presentó embarazo durante su uso. Conclusiones: Se evidenció una relación significativa entre los métodos utilizados, el tiempo de uso y la efectividad, con valores de chi-cuadrado significativos (p < 0.001 para efectividad y p < 0.005 para adherencia). |

This was a retrospective, observational, and non-experimental study, as it focused on analyzing the effectiveness and adherence to LARC methods. The sample consisted of 127 women. The most predominant age group, representing 44%, was women between 30 and 35 years old, while 19% were over 35. Primiparous women accounted for 50% of the sample, and 15% were multiparous. Among the 127 participants, 54% chose the subdermal implant, while 46% opted for the intrauterine device (IUD). Regarding effectiveness, 97% of IUD users did not experience pregnancy, although 3% did. In contrast, the implant showed 100% effectiveness, with no pregnancies reported during its use.
