La muestra estuvo constituida por 80 pobladores adultos, que residen en los sectores de Clementina Peralta I y II, los que, a su vez, cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Se tuvo como resultados que el 37,5% de ellos presentó un nivel de conocimiento medio y con deficientes prácticas preventivas, así mismo, el 16,3% tuvo nivel de conocimiento medio y prácticas preventivas regulares, por último, el 7,5% tuvo nivel de conocimiento alto y prácticas preventivas buenas. Se concluye con el rechazo de la hipótesis nula, mediante la aplicación de la prueba estadística del chi cuadrado; se demostró que si existe una relación significativa entre ambas variables con un valor de p=0,001, lo cual indica que a mayor conocimiento buenas prácticas preventivas

The sample consisted of 80 adult residents, who reside in the sectors of Clementina Peralta I. and II, which, in turn, met the inclusion criteria. The results were that 37.5% of them had a medium level of knowledge and poor preventive practices, likewise, 16.3% had a medium level of knowledge and regular preventive practices, and finally, 7.5% had a high level of knowledge and good preventive practices.
