Se utilizó la base datos recolectada de 150 historias clínicas de pacientes con cirrosis hepática del Servicio de Gastroenterología del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo durante enero 2021 a enero del 2024. Se determinó especificidad, sensibilidad, VPP y VPN de Child-Pugh y Albi-PLT, además, se determinó AUC. RESULTADOS: La sensibilidad y especificidad de la puntuación Child-Pugh fue de 74,8% y 51,9% respectivamente. El valor predictivo positivo y valor predictivo negativo fue de 87,62% y 31.11% respectivamente. La sensibilidad y especificidad de la puntuación ALBI-PLT fue de 81,3% y 81,48% respectivamente. El valor predictivo positivo y valor predictivo negativo fue de 95,24% y 48.89% respectivamente. La curva ROC de ambas escalas presentaron significancia estadística (p<0.05), y el AUC para Child Pugh y ALBI-PLT fue de 0.810 y 0.637 respectivamente. CONCLUSIÓN: La escala ALBI-PLT tuvo una mayor validez comparada con la escala Child-Pugh para el diagnóstico de varices gastroesofágicas en pacientes cirróticos

METHODS: A retrospective analytical cross-sectional study of diagnostic tests was carried out. The database collected from 150 medical records of patients with liver cirrhosis treated at the Gastroenterology Service of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo during 2021 to 2024 was used. Specificity, sensitivity, PPV and NPV of Child- Pugh and Albi were determined. -PLT, in addition, ROC curve was constructed to determine AUC. RESULTS: The sensitivity and specificity of the Child-Pugh score was 74.8%%) and 51.9% respectively. The positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 87.62% and 31.11% respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of the ALBI-PLT score was 81.3% and 81.48% respectively. The positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 95.24% and 48.89% respectively. The ROC curve of both scales showed statistical significance (p<0.05), and the AUC for Child Pugh and ALBI-PLT was 0.810 and 0.637 respectively.
