Para la recolección de la información se utilizaron dos instrumentos, el primero para medir el nivel de ansiedad y el segundo para medir el apoyo familiar; obteniéndose los siguientes resultados: el nivel de ansiedad el 52.0% de adultos operados de emergencia calificó como bajo, el 25.0% medio y el 23,0% alto, en cuanto al apoyo familiar, el 61.0% fue bajo, el 34,0% fue moderado mientras que en el 5,0% fue alto, llegando a concluir que el 52.0% que tuvieron nivel de ansiedad bajo también tienen bajo apoyo familiar, en tanto que el 23.0% que tuvo nivel ansiedad alto evidenciaron bajo apoyo familiar, resultando estadísticamente significativa que no hay correlación entre ambas variables según el valor de p < 0.715.
