description La presente tesis aborda la gestión de riesgos en la ejecución de la obra de construcción del camino vecinal Portachuelo de Calangla – Machay, ubicado en el distrito de San Miguel del El Faique, provincia de Huancabamba, región Piura. El estudio se enfoca en identificar, clasificar y analizar los riesgos que pueden afectar negativamente el desarrollo de este proyecto de infraestructura vial rural, considerando los factores técnicos, ambientales, sociales y administrativos. La investigación se enmarcó en la Guía del PMBOK – 6ta Edición, aplicando los procesos del área de conocimiento de gestión de los riesgos del proyecto, que incluyen: planificación, identificación de riesgos, análisis cualitativo, planificación de respuestas y monitoreo. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo aplicada, con enfoque descriptivo y analítico, combinando técnicas como entrevistas, observación directa y revisión documental. Como resultado, se elaboró una matriz de riesgos en la que se evaluaron la probabilidad y el impacto de cada evento identificado. Se identificaron como riesgos críticos: la inestabilidad del terreno, lluvias intensas, retrasos logísticos, conflictos con la comunidad y deficiencias en el control administrativo. Con base en este análisis, se propuso un plan de mitigación estructurado, asignando responsables, plazos e indicadores de seguimiento. La tesis concluye que la aplicación sistemática de la gestión de riesgos según el enfoque PMBOK permite anticipar problemas, reducir incertidumbre y fortalecer la toma de decisiones en el proyecto del camino vecinal de la región Huancabamba.

The study focuses on identifying, classifying, and analyzing risks that could negatively affect the development of this rural road infrastructure project, considering technical, environmental, social, and administrative factors. The research was guided by the PMBOK Guide – 6th Edition, applying the processes of the project risk management knowledge area, which include planning, risk identification, qualitative analysis, response planning, and monitoring. The methodology used was applied, with a descriptive and analytical approach, combining techniques such as interviews, direct observation, and document review. As a result, a risk matrix was developed in which the probability and impact of each identified event were assessed. The critical risks identified were: terrain instability, heavy rainfall, logistical delays, community conflicts, and deficiencies in administrative control. Based on this analysis, a structured mitigation plan was proposed, assigning responsibilities, timelines, and monitoring indicators.
