description La presente tesis, titulada “Aplicación de la norma CE-010 Pavimentos Urbanos en el diseño del paquete estructural de pavimento en un asentamiento humano de Paita – 2025”, tuvo como propósito analizar el impacto de la norma técnica CE-010, establecida en el Reglamento Nacional de Edificaciones del Perú, en el diseño estructural de pavimentos urbanos. El estudio se centró en el asentamiento humano Primero de Junio, situado en el distrito de Paita, donde se identificó como principal problemática la ausencia de infraestructura vial adecuada, lo cual limita la movilidad peatonal y vehicular, incidiendo negativamente en la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Se empleó una metodología de tipo aplicada, bajo un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño preexperimental. Para sustentar el diseño estructural del pavimento, se realizaron estudios de suelos mediante calicatas, ensayos de laboratorio como el CBR, análisis granulométrico y Proctor, así como la evaluación del tránsito proyectado expresado en Ejes Simples Equivalentes (ESALs), todo ello conforme a los criterios establecidos por la norma CE-010. Los hallazgos permitieron definir espesores adecuados para un pavimento rígido que asegure resistencia, eficiencia funcional y vida útil prolongada, evidenciando tanto la factibilidad técnica como económica de la propuesta. Asimismo, se comprobó que la implementación de la CE-010 mejora la accesibilidad en la zona intervenida, reduce la emisión de polvo y atenúa los efectos adversos en la salud pública y el entorno ambiental. Se concluye que esta normativa representa una herramienta clave para fortalecer la infraestructura vial en áreas urbanas marginales, contribuyendo al desarrollo sostenible y al bienestar colectivo

The study focused on the “Primero de Junio” human settlement, located in the district of Paita, where the main issue identified was the lack of adequate road infrastructure. This deficiency limits both pedestrian and vehicular mobility, negatively affecting the residents' quality of life. An applied methodology with a quantitative approach and a pre-experimental design was used. To support the structural pavement design, soil studies were conducted through test pits and laboratory tests such as the California Bearing Ratio (CBR), grain size analysis, and the Proctor test. Additionally, projected traffic was evaluated using Equivalent Single Axle Loads (ESALs), following the criteria established by the CE-010 standard. The findings enabled the determination of appropriate thicknesses for a rigid pavement capable of ensuring strength, functional efficiency, and long service life, demonstrating the technical and economic feasibility of the proposal.
